Honestly the snow in GTA Online is pretty bad. Not only is it very unrealistic because it doesn’t snow in Los Angeles and NPCs still wear summer clothes, but it also drastically reduces visibility with all the fog and the roads are very slippery. I am not looking forward to seeing snow in GTAVI Online.

At least the snow makes sense on RDO from West Elizabeth to Lemoyne as New Orleans actually already got covered by snow several times, the last time was on 2010 iirc, not as realistic on New Austin though, so Strange Man got a lot to answer for...

Yeah driving around in it is a bit of a joke after a while, my biggest gripe.. I can appreciate them making it "Christmas themed" with the snow and decorations for Christmas time but it does get slightly annoying pretty quickly.

 

It makes me think though that if this is a thing in GTAVI Online will they bring in the cold and hot weather system from RDR 2, and that we will have to wear warm clothes during this period.

The Russians have a presence in the Florida area, so it makes sense that they do show up as another gang/organization operating in Vice City. Despite that, do not expect them to be the size of a full-on Russian Mob organization like we saw in IV, they're more like tight crews spread out around the state of Florida. 

 

As pointed out in this thread, Russian gangsters mostly own and operate night clubs and strip joints for money laundering and trafficking (Kinda like how we use our Night Clubs in Online). Their muscle mostly comes from whoever they can hire in their areas, or paying some of the other local gangs to do their dirty work. Also from what I've read online from various FBI and police reports about Russian OC in Florida, the Russians spend a great deal of time performing elaborate scams defrauding insurance companies, banks, and other targets as well as being pretty big into auto theft and weapons dealing.

Yes, in the mission Catch The Wave, the mission brief explicitly states that the Russian Mob, specifically Dmitri Rascalov's faction, were smuggling drugs into Liberty City via boats that originated from Vice City. It is largely believed that soon after Rascalov was eventually killed by the end of IV, that whatever was left of his faction was absorbed into Petrovic's mafiya group.

There was a famous case in Miami from the 90s of a Russian mobster and 2 Cubans who were planning to buy submarines from the now collapsed soviet union so that they could sell it to Colombian cartels.

I doubt the Russian mob or the Cubans will play a central part in VI's story but there could influence missions in VI, maybe you have to steal weapons and sell them to a cartel crime group.

 

I also wonder if VI will have a story centered around chapters like rdr2. Maybe Jason and Lucia are on the run and each chapter they move to a new location or city and might get involved with a different criminal group or corrupt government

organization like in V. Would be interesting to see in a gta game.

 

I agree that the Russians are not gonna play a central role in story like the they did in IV. If anything they're gonna be relegated to more of a background role with some minor appearances in certain missions that may or may not be related to the main story plot. They're basically gonna be like the Armenian Mob from V, considering how sparse they appeared during the main story. 

 

Let's also not forget that we should see one or two of the Liberty City mob families return in VI as it is very well-documented that the IRL New York families, and even the Calabrian Mafia, have many lucrative interests in the South Florida area. Although the New York mob families mostly use Florida as a vacation spot, they still engage mostly in illegal gambling and extortion, along with some level of drug distribution in co-ordination with various major drug cartels.

Vice City might only have Christmas decorations, not snow like @Spider-Vice said in one comment. We will probably have northern towns that will have snow.

I like it since where I live it barely snows, I also grew up on some island that never snowed, winter  clothes are cute too I guess

Like it or not, GTA VI's online will 100% have snow, it's become a tradition at this point in combination with the christmas decorations/events etc.

It would be good for VI online to have seasons, like hurricane/rain season, hot season, cold season.
 

All of December would be snow and blizzards, not just at Christmas week.
