Ah, you were playing a minigame of "counting the frames" on the side too with that card.

 

 

First time I played GTAIV I had to run it with Shadows off just so I can get to an fps higher than 20, those were some dark days for sure

I don't like to speculate things here but I was thinking about why they call it WM 29 Pistol and I was like W-Wednesday, M-March, 29 and then Coincidentally I checked the calendar for 29th March 2023 and it was a Wednesday. I recently saw a leaked footage from the Last Dose

missions where the main antagonist, Dr. Freidlander was talking about setting up a Drug making lab with the help of Lab Rat and in the last mission he bailed out of his plane and landed in a unknown location

Could he lead us to the prolonged trailer of GTA VI? Maybe I'm overthinking a bit like Mr.BossFTW XD but recent teasing activities of R*, raising high hopes inside me.

Honestly? No. We're just reading too much out of it. They know they are going to literally break the internet with either a teaser pic on their twitter or a trailer. There is no reason to do small clues that is only going to be noticed by players still playing GTA Online or hardcore fanboys on internetforums like this. They want everyone invested. Personally, i think we are still far off from an official teaser, and damn it sucks man.

Playing GTAIV on a basic ass computer was suchhh a pain but I still did it.

That's similar to what I am thinking, it's not them teasing but more so just connecting this GTAO to the next one we're getting, updating brands and whatnot.

 

The "teaser" is going to be very obvious, it won't have us going in circles about it asking if it really is a teaser.

Another thing is we wouldn't have known about the updated ecola logo if it wasn't for the leaks. I'm pretty sure rockstar didn't leak the game on purpose and for a teaser.

Oh I did it too, I ran it on some criminal settings, just butchered the whole experience for me but at the time I really didn't care much as I just wanted to play "the gta game" I had no care about the narrative or the atmosphere, all it mattered to me was that I get in a car when I press F and the chaos goes on from there lol

That's why I went through it as soon as I got a rig that was able to run it properly.

it's okay, my PS5 got me covered anyway, I'll give it a try on PC later on when it gets released for it, just to be able to crank up some sliders and see more eye-candy, but my main playthrough is gonna be on PS5 for sure, especially with GTAO.

I'd actually asked about this on the VI PC Requirements thread a couple days ago. Got some fantastic responses too! From my (pretty flawed and inexperienced) understanding, it looks like we'll be able to at least run it as smooth as or smoother than current gen consoles thanks to somewhat comparable specs between cards and other techy stuff. Big relief.

All depends on PC port optimization but I don't personally think your PS5 would be much useful after PC version release. At the end of the day PS5 is something like 2060 Super by rough performance and it's CPU is Ryzen 7 3700. 3080 gaming performance wise is 70 to 100% faster than 2060 Super, meaning that in good scenario where they actually optimize their game you could exceed console settings with same performance. Especially that you are probably running 1440P or 1080P monitor where consoles are trying to always aim at 4K even if they can't hit the target. Also consoles use GDDR ram for literally everything and it's also not making them faster than most likely your PC.

Wtf people think the Russian mob is gonna come back again? Tbh I’d hate to see the same enemies from IV come back but, then again, it isn’t unusual lol. Almost a decade ago some Cubans tried to buy lawn equipment a few blocks from where I live with stolen cards given to them by Russians so, even if they do come back, hopefully it’s more of a background role than anything tbh

I am a bit skeptical about the trailer, the screenshot was quite surprising as I have never noticed it until very recently, but the trailer itself, the more I look at it, the more I think it's just low-res.

The PS3 was a very capable console, even more so than the Xbox 360. The reason why so many games looked and runned worse on PS3 in the early years of that generation was because the PS3 had a very complex architecture that developers had a hard time figuring out how to use. So most of the time, devs simply developed their games on Xbox 360 and PC and then ported them to PS3 as best as they could. Once devs started to figure out how to effectively use the PS3's architecture, games were basically identical in terms of graphics and performance between both consoles in the latter years of the gen. It was more obvious with PS3 first party games which looked and runned way better than Xbox 360 first party games.
