I have tried to figure out what the pistols in the GTAVI leaks are based off of. So far, I have identified a Glock 17 and a Taurus PT92 or Beretta 92FS, which is the pistol seen in GTAV meaning this one might be a place holder, especially since it had 12 rounds in the clip, which doesn't make sense because the smallest magazine that the PT92 and 92FS can have holds 15 rounds. There was a third pistol, but I am uncertain of what that one is based off of. It looks similar to a SIG Sauer P226 but I am not sure.

I've been emulating some older games lately, a few of which are of the physics-tied-to-framerate variety, and I've noticed more input latency at 60fps with vsync enabled than 30fps without. I can deal with screen tearing but I absolutely cannot stand sluggish controls. I've already bitched and moaned about this in the past so I apologize for bringing it up again, but forced vsync is my #1 least favorite aspect of console gaming.

I'm betting they made some significant improvements to airflow in the slim, similar to the massive improvements Microsoft achieved with the 360 slim compared to the original. Could've also been age; I used my PS4 pretty infrequently, but I bought it on launch, so it was already four years old by then. I'm glad to hear you had a better experience, at least. If the game hadn't been as good as it was, it would have bordered on unplayable for me.

Well I wouldn't say it's hints but... 

 

There's 2 new car brands in the game now, one being "Classique" from GTA4 which made it to GTAO for the first time. And the second one being "Toundra" which is a brand new one for the series in general. The latter is probably going to be featured a lot in GTA6 if anything.

 

Also, the new skirt models are pretty much the exact same ones that Lucia is wearing in one of the leaked vids.

 

Did they backport it? Would they have added it into the game if it wasn't for the leaks? Probably, but it also seems like hell of a coincidence that it was added in the update that followed the leaks.

I was playing the new LS Drug Wars missions yesterday, and I managed to find a car similar to Jason's Red Ranchero. It looked almost the same

Rockstar is pulling off all the resources(including the gtao team) onto the next GTA.

Maybe that's the reason why this update is small

and I think that

with this much workforce involved

too many good games are already out that look great that run at 60fps, Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War, etc etc etc.

I can't think of any modern latest gen game that doesn't run in 60fps to be honest, please let me know if I'm missing something.

the only reason we're getting 60fps games rn is because we're still stuck in the cross gen period. Which GTA6 will not be part of. Native PS5 games will push the console to its maximum visually and technically and 60fps will no longer be a major priority or selling point.

There are 9th gen games that offer 30fps and 60fps modes. Developers know how much framerates matter nowadays, if they stopped offering 60fps in games, it would cause a major backlash.

60FPS is what a lot of console gamers are praising right now, saying they could never go back to 30 anymore after playing at 60. I'm sure that, in a couple of years from now, a majority of studios will do their best to offer players at least two options - Fidelity and Performance, even if the Performance option means drastically downgrading the graphics in future titles.

 

And of course, we can't forget the inevitable PS5 Pro and Xbox equivalent of that that will probably come out next year, or in two years, or whenever...

theyre praising it right now, but theyre gonna compromise by say late next year and welcome 30-40fps games that look like a true generational leap.  And doing that requires sacrificing higher frame rates 

 

yes, my initial argmemt was that 60fps would probably be doable on the pro versions. But if we want more games that look like death stranding 2 the matrix demo and hellblade 2, the base consoles wont be able to run those games at that fidelity at 60fps

I sure hope you're wrong. I went back to 30fps (in GTAO) to try the RT and lasted about 90 seconds before switching back. The only game I'll tolerate this on nowadays is Bloodborne. I'd probably make an exception for GTA6, but goddamn I'll complain about it A LOT.

i do too. I think R* will find a middel ground because they use amd's ai upscaling for their games now i think. And that might make 1800p to 4k upscale games be able to hit around 45 fps

And let's be honest, GTAO is what lets R* take the time they need to make something like RDR2. You can't discount it if you want future R* games to match or surpass the scale and ambition of that game. I wonder how RDR2 would've turned out if they had to release it in 2016.

they said in a Q&A that sharkcards helps them bring more and free updates to gtaonline, now that money might be too much so I can see how it helps them also with their other projects

 

they already had a lot of money, its parent company take-two isn't small.

That's why they'll add Performance modes which will slowly be downgrading more and more graphical effects as years progress and games get more complex (at least in my opinion). And who knows? Maybe a few years from now we'll see some upgraded version of AMD's FSR that'll make games run even better than before with no significant losses to the quality.

You might be thinking of the newly added Karin Boor which is based on the Subaru Brat, or perhaps the Vulcar Warrener HKR.

 

And I can see that the geniuses on the GTA6 subreddit are confusing the Eudora for the '59 Cadillac Eldorado that was seen in the leaks. They are not the same car... Goddamn I wish I could post leaked materials so I can show a comparison

I'm a staunch supporter of this theory. I believe about 85-90% of the vehicles released from the Diamond Casino Heist DLC and onwards are from GTA VI

If we put a filter on the word "woke" during GTA VI marketing we'll probably get 4000 notifications about it in one day. Wasn't there an unidentified 60s sedan in the leaks? Could it be the Willard Eudora that was added to the latest GTAO DLC.

 

Also, while some seem to think the DLC is small, it really isn't. It's frustrating that so much of its gameplay is in the dripfeed including a bunch of missions and businesses which is unusual. So don't go thinking GTAO is being abandoned and all hands are on deck for GTA VI. I suspect GTAO will keep getting DLCs (even major ones) right up until GTA VI is released whenever that might be.
