lol rubbish.

Of course there will be a 60fps performance mode, at least.

i wouldnt count on it unless its for the theoretical pro versions of the current gen consoles and i personally wouldnt mind. Id rather them allocate all teh necessary resources into ensuring 6 is the most technically impressive game of all time

I'm counting on it.

There is absolutely no way in hell they release the game on ps5 and you can only play it in 30fps.

too many good games are already out that look great that run at 60fps, Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War, etc etc etc.

I can't think of any modern latest gen game that doesn't run in 60fps to be honest, please let me know if I'm missing something.

I share your sentiment. I think most developers will ditch 60 fps modes as soon as cross-generation games stop releasing. GTA VI will be huge and so advanced and taxing they might lock fps to 30, and a rock solid 30 fps would be absolutely reasonable as well.

Of course in a perfect world 60 fps mode would be offered on consoles but games will only get more demanding from now on. A lot of people :bruh: others for sharing opinions like that around here :kekw:

Keep in mind Horizon and God of War are last generation games and only now they are playable in 60 fps on 9th generation consoles.

Same applies to Horizon Forbidden West and God of War Ragnarok, these games still came out on PS4 and run well on base PS4, that's the main reason PS5 gets 60 fps option.

I'm late to the 60fps party only just recently updating my TV and getting a PS5.

I can't go back to 30FPS now, I refuse.

I find it hard to imagine that if Rockstar are going to release the game in 2024 at the earliest, they are going to expect people will be happy playing the game in 30fps.

That would be nothing short of disastrous for them. And considering they were able to get a game like RDR2 to run quite well at 30fps on the base PS4, I have every confidence they will make it happen at 60fps for GTA6 on PS5.

I actually think it's nothing short of a necessary requirement.

Let's say GTA VI being graphically demanding game would be 1620p 30 fps in Quality mode and 1080p 60 fps in performance mode.

Would you still use performance mode in that case? 1080p looks kinda bad on 4K TV. I hope there is 60 fps mode but there will be sacrifices for sure.

Anyone ask Tez2 why his predictions were wrong? Not saying he’s Carnac, or Sternac, but I thought he might have a little bit of inside info. My theory is that the leak did much more damage and that has affected the schedule. I may be wrong (I may be right).

Anything less than 4K 60FPS would be unacceptable in my opinion. to answer you question i would play 1080p 60fps, which would never exist they would upscale to 4K at the very least.

Ok man but keep in mind GTA V, which is a 9 year old game only runs at 1440p 60 fps on PS5 and XSX. So just saying GTA VI will not run at 4K 60 fps.

There's always upscaling involved, doesn't mean the image is nearly as good as higher resolutions are. DLSS gets close but it's Nvidia only.

Yes I am sure. I don't just trust marketing information but sources like Digital Foundry.

I have changed the link to Rockstar's newswire.

They are lying ?

A lot of developers call it 4K but in reality the resolution is almost always lower. You can check Digital Foundry or ElAnalistaDeBits, they always count the pixel count and frame-rate.

Fidelity mode - Native 4K with ray-traced shadows and higher-res cube-mapped reflections than the other modes at an almost perfect 30fps on both consoles. There is one scene though where PS5 very briefly dropped to the low 20s and XSX dropped to 27fps.

Performance RT mode - 1440p with ray-traced shadows at a very consistent 60fps on both consoles. Both are capable of drops, but never too long to disrupt the experience. This is Digital Foundry's choice of mode.

Performance mode - 1440p at 60fps without ray-tracing. This mode tightens up the framerate on both consoles but it's still not 100% locked, just a bit better than the already very stable Performance RT mode. Drops are a little more frequent on XSX than PS5 in this mode.

Instead of arguing about sh*t like RT, I'm just gonna show you a beautiful livery. :kekw:

"Pride Brew"

Jason is gay confirmed.

Pride Brew has been a drink in the game for a long time now, but the livery is nice isn't it? :kekw: :bonk:

If the above happened, half of this community (and the gaming community in general) would have a self-imploding meltdown lmao.

Think G*y Tony will come into GTA VI ? from Gta IV & V The ballard of G*y Tony. He was cool in both games. Im happy to have Packy return hopefully some of them return from the older games.

Edit: Was just checking if the word was censored - It isn't, the person above me just thinks it's a dirty word apparently?

And I'd be here for it, laughing at them. :prismkek: For real, Rockstar would earn all my respect back if they did that.

Maybe they thought like in the past was? Mistake from them.

I remember that on youtube people were insulting each other or other places by using that word or even for other reasons not just insults, for some reason some people were censoring it back then because it was seen as an "insult/dirty word"...

Me too man, but yknow even though im 1738% sure we can get Lucía with the same basic strippers GTA Vs protags could get with, I wouldnt be surprised if Rockstar pulled a Chippendales and got male strippers too

And they caint let just Lucía be the only one able to choose...

Did we play the same version of RDR2? I initially played it on my launch model PS4 and it struggled to maintain a constant 20fps, running the fan so loud it made my early model Xbox 360 seem whisper quiet by comparison. Even after tearing it apart and applying fresh thermal compound, I was constantly afraid it would shut down at any moment due to overheating.

If we aren't getting a day one PC version, I'll definitely be hoping for a 60fps performance mode... but I'll be preparing myself for 30, the same way I'm preparing myself to be forced into buying a console. Honestly, I'd take the ability to disable vsync over 60fps. I've been emulating some older games lately, a few of which are of the physics-tied-to-framerate variety, and I've noticed more input latency at 60fps with vsync enabled than 30fps without. I can deal with screen tearing but I absolutely cannot stand sluggish controls. I've already bitched and moaned about this in the past so I apologize for bringing it up again, but forced vsync is my #1 least favorite aspect of console gaming.

RDR2 came out at the tail-end of the last generation pretty much. The new gen consoles are pretty beefy and could run RDR2 60fps no problem, if only Rockstar would allow it. I get the feeling that hardware won't have to catch up this time, and if it does it won't be as drastic

It was released four years after the PS4 and Xbone made their debut, and if we get GTA VI in 2024, that'll be four years after the PS5/XSX made theirs. In fairness, though, I'll acknowledge that the PS4 and Xbone were already outdated on day one, whereas the PS5 and XSX even now are keeping pace with mid range PCs. I'm trying to be optimistic, and I agree that a 60fps mode should be expected from Rockstar, but I'm very cynical when it comes to expectations from AAA developers.
