it's funny how even to this day you can see the same American Megatrends logo you could see 20 years ago on computers on your own computer, with exception it's really rare occurence, last time I seen it I seen it in 2018 (or 19) on my X470 motherboard and I am pretty much sure that If I tried hard enough I could see it on my 2020 X570 mobo.

CS GO released in 2012 and is currently constantly easily ranked #1 on the Steam Charts.

 

Perhaps Rockstar will just keep updating GTAO, become a competitor to Steam with their game launcher,

concentrate on Circo Loco Records, and just say sorry GTA6 cancelled bye.

TF2 is the better example, it refuses to die.

 

GTA VR by 2037 will be online as well (if single player doesnt die by then) so it will go forever, maybe everyone will be stuck on VR technology there will be no "real life" anymore.With all that money rockstar will be able to own a planet.

Competetive games like CS:GO and League of Legends shouldn't be placed next to GTA:O, those are two completely different worlds, neither RGL can compete with Valve and GTA Online can be kept alive forever, only reason for CS:GO and LOL being in position they are after all that years is what type of games they are, those are the games that never will become boring resulting in playerbase decline. That's because they are skill based competetive games of a nature where fun itself comes from being competetive and knowing the game, this is type of game where any change of gameplay, mechanics or meta is not welcomed - the fun itself is based on the competetivity and self improving. GTA Online on the other hand is based around having fun from the gameplay itself, even if they kept updating it with huge updates forever It would still get playerbase bored at some point as the core of the gameplay is still the same and does relate on the same stuff since 2014.

 

TL;DR theres no chance that any of that stuff will happen.

Every numbered GTA game from now on will be set in modern times, so by GTA IX which will be released in 2113 it will be futuristic, robots/AI, cities on Mars (Maybe Mars is full of crime for example and Earth is too peaceful) etc because in real life that will be a thing by then unless something goes wrong.

I can see that happening no joke.

Modern setting is most flexible one in terms of Online module, Imagine cars GTA Online would have if the game was stuck in 2013, we wouldn't see cars like 10F or Rhinehart for example.

I get that and also modern times will still be like a time machine, in 2080 someone who might wanna see how 2024 looked like, they could play GTA VI for example..since 2080 will look so different from 2024.

What you wrote, and what I wrote quickly made me realise that probably there's no chance for 80s or inject any other year before 2010 DLC, just because of online module as the DLC wouldn't be appealing to players if it had progress seperated from normal modern Online, and if the progress was shared it would be impossible to explain HOW THE f*ck YOU WERE IN THE MODERN TIMES AND NOW YOU ARE IN THE PAST.

Discovery
Notes: First of all I got this info from the leaks

There's a bunch of panels (world events, requests and running programs) shows throughout the leaks where developers scroll through a bunch of stuff (assets, missions, etc). I'Il release a full report with the most interesting things.

If you’re confused here’s a rundown: In the leaks there’s a bunch of events, assets and missions that the developers scroll through if they want to trigger it. The list is basically important events/assets/missions. Why does this matter? It gives a better view or insight to the game! For example, the asset “Ped Collision Ruined Clothes” lets us know that collisions will cause pedestrians clothes to be all messed up!

Confirmed Radio Stations

That’s right, I may of found some radio stations! {

Kiss Cheek Stand FM - Radio Station

Warm Embrace Stand FM - Looks like another radio station!

Next section: Missions/Strangers and Freaks {

Club Promoter Initial Meeting - Seems like a mission. Maybe you own a club or something?

Dead Husband Disposal - Possibly a mission, maybe Lucia had a husband.

Thrown Out - Sounds like another mission but idk what it could mean

Vicki - Likely a stranger and freaks or mission character (note: likely a stripper)

Warehouse Haunted - maybe a mission? Possibly a place.

Beach Bum Preacher - Probably a strangers and freaks mission }

Other Stuff {

Ped Collision Ruined Clothes - looks like running over peds will leave their clothes all ripped up or crashing into a car! Basically making collisions much more immersive.

Mugging Follow - Maybe we can mug npcs in the game?

Dale's Shopwell Criminal - honestly I'm not sure what to think of this one.

Souvenir Store Criminal - maybe npcs can rob stores?

Good reason I think neither of them will die. (unless it's optional like with V)

 

All the clothing stuff. Jason wouldn't be able to wear Lucia's clothing and vice versa. They wouldn't put all of that clothing in-game just to make it unusable after the story ends, and we all know that the game doesn't end after finishing the final mission, there's properties to buy and money to spend.
