Yeah, and wondering how it got there or is someone pulling a prank on us, you also think someone must handed in a good genuine looking copy of the game and just GTA5 game in the case or such, but it's not out of character or out of left field for Rockstar to shadow drop something out of nowhere without looking at the leaks, lol

you know, i was just thinking.. we were all just like "huehue, it has been 1 year since the leaks. those were some dope times". But do any of you think some rockstar devs were having traumatic flashbacks from the stern talk to from the higher ups they must've received?

 

i wonder how they were all addressed.. like, blamed or just told that this was unfortunate, or that they actually know who the footage came from and had a sit down with that guy?

Why would they get blamed for the leak?

Maybe the one employee that had his credentials stolen, probably via phishing and then accepted the 2FA prompts too. Wouldn't want to be him! But I think they went more down the "unfortunate" route because at the end of the day the employee wasn't being reckless, the hackers deliberately exploit flaws in human nature and try to fool you with fake login screens and impersonating other people via mail while you're just trying to do you job.

Very unlikely, they probably got a talk about general awareness and tightening security.

 

It would be weird to have it against that employee for something that could happen to anyone.

“Accountability” could mean anything , not necessarily insinuating that the employee was fired because that would be extreme but he or she definitely got an earful from higher ups bare minimum
