Reinstalled the game, and guess I just rip the save with some bugs used, it also starts to crash sometimes out of any mission, and change clothes at home become unavailable(did it about a thousand time with replay before it)

Thing is, VC is very finicky about GXT text stuff, and the mod changes a lot of the text in the game, so I can definitely see a language pack causing problems. There's not much I can do to address this sort of thing, beyond recommending you not to use any other mod at the same time.

Also, if I'm understanding correctly and you're using saves from outside of the mod, that's bound to cause even more problems.

Time for V1.95!

 

Introduces some new twists on Paramedic, adds some extra rewards, and fixes some issues including the 'Bombs Away' map blip above.

//Paramedic is now much tougher. Injured peds run away in a panic (and towards you when they spot you), you have shorter time limits, your police attention liklehood no longer reduces and occasionally body snatchers will appear to try and generate fresh business... As a counterbalance though, you can now mend the ambulance at Pay & Spray.  

//Added a new vehicle, the 'Necro 1' as reward for beating the Paramedic side mission* (given you already get inifite sprint from the start).

//Enabled radio stations while driving emergency vehicles.

//Fixed an issue where radar blip may not appear for a boat during 'Bombs Away'

//Fixed the "Flintstones" effect when applying the 'Pizza Boy' outfit.

//Added a new reward for completing all of the Assassination missions.

How are you editing GXT files, by chance? Do you use a hex editor or an appropriate GXT editor?

GXT editor (I've tried several, but there always seems to be a bug or two with displayed text no matter what).

IDK if you'd want to do this, but you could possibly provide Mod Loader with the mod for just making text edits get patched in. You can create plain text files with the extension ".fxt" and use the following format to edit the GXTs without, well... editing them:

 

GXTLABEL <space> (your text here)

 

Maximum 7 letters allowed for the GXT text label.

That sounds like far more trouble than it's worth, especially this far into development (and still wouldn't solve the issue of people installing extra mods on top and wondering why they have issues).

You could try this one, maybe it will work fine. It works differently from the other ones because it compiles GXT from text files which might address all the issues.

I'm using the 1.0 version I have randomizer and some other random mods installed

Well that's definitely your problem! Other "random mods" are probably the biggest issue as Tightened changes most VC files in one way or another, script offsets are different, VC's exe limits are different etc. 
I would always recommend not trying to use any other mod with Tightened for this reason.

My bad bruh I understand. Now if I uninstall the other mods will I able to run it or do I have to re-install the mod ?

It depends on whether your other mods are additional files, or whether they replaced anything Tightened uses... To be safe I would suggest reinstalling from scratch though, certainly won't hurt!

Hey, I installed the patch but the mission is still broken, I swear to you that I killed everyone on the boat and after that a text appeared to kill a cuban that is escaping a in car (with broken path too), then I destroyed the car and after that nothing else happens. I can even record a gameplay and send to you if needed.

 

Or this fix only works in a new save?

So very strange, gameplay would certainly help, I want to get to the bottom of this (and testing the mission myself 3 times clearly wasn't enough).

I am also curious what other mods you have going though, I see 2 additional Cleo scripts,  I'm wondering whether maybe there's something interfering with IDs or something there?

I just realised I missed this post and.... did you actually read what I said, like at all?
The entire point of not using Cleo for anything important/required is that I WANT speedrunners to be able to break the game using things like duping (something that Cleo cries about).

Would be pretty silly of me to make a mod specifically aimed at the speedrunning community (and collaborating with a lot of its members) while at the same time actively stopping them from speedrunning the game lol

These 2 additional cleo scripts are just scripts to save the game pressing F4 or typing a cheat code. (eventually it gets boring driving to the same mission over and over again.)

 

I'm also using modloader with a skybox mod (that mods sky.ide, sky.col, sky.ipl & timecyc, the rest is just textures).

Aww, ok now I get it, sometimes I loose myseft into a cup of water.

 
Well, good luck with the speedrunning aspect then, must be the whole TC most tricky thing to accieve.

My impression is that the hardened aspect is the most applauded by people here, so if it's 100% suitable or not for speedrunners is an added aspect imho.

This appears to be just the downloaded mod files, you have to overwrite a vanilla install of VC with them first, the mod isn't the full game on its own.

Kinda hard to tell from this info, but if you're adding extra dlls there's likely to be issues. Tightened includes things like SilentPatch and Widescreen Fix by default, inside its "scripts" folder, so if you're adding extra plugins there are likely to be conflicts like this.

Tightened will only work as intended on top of a completely vanilla VC install, introducing other "fixes" is a recipe for disaster.

Hello friend, your best bet is getting a clean copy from Steam, either via steam, or purchasing a key online (I will not link where from, but there are many legitimate sites that I have used in the past that work just fine).

 

Once you have your Steam copy of the game, you will then need to downgrade to V1, I believe this is the most commonly used downgrader avaialble, but there are a few out there that should work just fine (http://downgraders.rockstarvision.com/).

 

Once you have downgraded the game, BACKUP the original install somewhere so you have it handy, literally just copy and paste it somewhere easy. Then extract all Tightened Vice files into your Vice City directory and you should be good to go.

Hello, I would like to say thank you for creating this mod. I just finished it couple days and I will most likely replay the game this way in the future. I played it casually which was hard at times but overall very fun. I did have trouble on some missions but obviously that was the point. Most of the shootouts weren't hard, I just had to remember the enemy spawns and shootouts became easy. After playing this idk if i could go back and play the base game. The base game might be too easy. I do wish GInput would work. I was hoping to play the mod sometimes in bed on my tv, but GInput would crash the game instantly. The mod would probably be even more difficult on controller but it was worth a try. Overall a great mod and would love to see what this becomes in the future.

I would like to point out that these aren't complaints just things that happened to me lol.

A couple of missions were actually hard and took me a bit. One of the love fist missions, the one with the limo that would blow up if you stop, was the first mission I was stuck on. I could not control the limo in drunk mode. The G-Spotlight(The final mission for the movie studio where you ride a bike over buildings). The snow and the time limit made it pretty difficult. One mistake would be a reset and the snow causing the motorcycle to have terrible handling. I completely forgot by holding either num 9 or num 6 you could either get more speed or get more air which made the mission less difficult but still mistake-prone. RC Plane for Welcome to WatchMojo (Demolition man) was just troll and it took for a while to figure it out. IDK why I could not control that plane for the life of me. The Cuban mission where you bust into the Haitian coke factory and steal the trash truck gave me issues because sometimes the Haitians would spawn really fast and instantly destroy the trash truck. The heist for the retirement fund was annoying not because of any shootouts but because the Ai would just run into cars before the heist or would refuse to run with me. Sometimes when escaping it would crash(which I couldn't replicate). The Ai being sh*t was just part of the main game so I am not blaming the mod for that. Rest of the missions I either beat the first try or had to reset a couple of times but not to the extent of the missions above.

So, at least here in Brazil, the original version of the game is no longer sold, only the gta trilogy that costs more than 300 R$, and I believe that this mod only works in the original version of the game, I already looked to buy the game and I did not find it , on steam it does not have it, and I do not know any other reliable site, if anyone can send me the download of gta vice city vanilla I would be very grateful

Bugs that I found.

1. When performing a Paramedic's mission in v 2.0 is given very little time. 12 seconds for three blocks, at a time when hearses are ramming? It's not a complication, it's an imbalance.

2. Patients may fall into the water while running. The most popular place is at the abandoned ship, which is now at the hospital in Washington Beach. When this happens at level 8-9, it's ANNOYING. the mission is impassable.

3. When buying a mansion from the Noth Point Mall, where there is still a new wardrobe, after the game is completed, Tommy teleports back to the game save label. And it is impossible to continue the game - an endless departure in the save menu. I hope my testing will help make the Paramedic's mission passable!
