Stuff on fire?

So, I was out and about in New Austin, and spotted a buried treasure in a circle of wagons.  As I got there, however, I saw that mound where the treasure was, and one of the wagons was on fire... but not normal fire.  It was more orange than usual, and spraying out like a flamethrower.  It didn't burn me though.

 

A little later, I saw three orange lights flying the the night sky.  I couldn't quite make them out, but putting my rifle crosshairs on them said they were birds... apparently on fire.

 

A little later still, I spotted a couple of collared peccary running along, but one was on fire, the same kind of orange flames.  I shot it, and when it was lying there, the fire started shooting out of the body like a flamethrower, maybe 20 feet.  As before it didn't burn me or anything.

 

I wondered if this was some halloween thing, or is someone hacking again?

Probably hackers, it was the flamethrower piggy that makes me think that. You are on PC right?

I haven't heard anything about burning animals for the consoles?

 

 

Either way that sounds kind of crazy and fit for the season, as long as they aren't hurting your game though.

It was definitely kind of spooky.  I took the burning mound to be a glitch, but the red lights in the sky were spooky because it was kind of foggy and dark, and three orange lights were going by slowly.  It's what made me wonder if it was a Halloween thing.

The peccary made me wonder if it was just hackers.

The mound is where a diggable collectable is buried (I just checked - it was the Jade Hairpin), I've never seen the shooting fire thing however, definitely cheaters.

At least it was harmless shenanigans.

 

Once again players make RDO more interesting than greedstar.
