First time playing VC and it has done nothing but annoy the crap out of me

I was never really into GTA games pre GTA 5 so I never played VC or San Andreas as a kid, I played 4 for a little bit but just stopped, cant remember why but it obviously did not hook me. Cut to 20 years later and Rstar open world games are now what i mainly play outside of CoD.

 

Vice City has recently came out on PS plus so I figured why the hell not? GTA 6 will be VC so If i complete the OG game then perhaps i will notice some easter eggs in 6.

 

Good lord is it a terrible game lol for the time of its release it must have looked amazing, no doubt about that, but the way it plays is just AWFUL imo, not having any sort of fun at all, a few missions in particular have really got under my skin.

 

The mission where you have to drive the car at speed for love fist really annoyed me, driving missions in GTA are my least favourite missions but the way the car handles in these old GTA games made it so much worse, this took me like 9 tries and each time i had to listen to those god awful Scottish accents and also the Yorkshire accent every time lol 

 

I'm currently on the mission where you have to go to the mall dressed as cops, as soon as you get outside the mall it is like every NPC has been replaced with a cop, very few vehicles are on the road for you to steal and you have a 4 star wanted level and NO COVER SYSTEM and Lance keeps running near cars that are about to explode, it would not be so bad if i did not have to start the mission over every time i fail.

 

There really aint much to do outside of main missions either aside from the phone assassination missions, none of the clothing stores are located on the map so i always feel like a dumbass for not being able to find the place where you get the purple suite from, despite the map being really small, and I cant find any of the buyable properties because they are not marked on the map.

 

I'm no sure I would have even liked it 20 years tbh. Thank god it was essentially free and i did not spend £50 on it

Guess what. You don't have to do that mission to beat the game. But if you are doing it then you just gotta drive as slowly as possible down the big road. That way the bomb will be defused by the time you reach the southern tip of the docks.

Have you walked there or what? You should still have the vehicle you came with waiting for you outside the doors. Then you just gotta beeline it to the nearest pay 'n spray if you can't make it back to the mansion.

Yeah nothing much, just a bunch of odd jobs, collectibles, vehicle challenges, races. Nothing much mate.

GTA Wiki is there to help you out. I mean all in all this just sounds like skill issue to me.

Because it was an emotionless game.. not so lively like GTA IV.. every NPC and enviroment is just robotic sh*t..  In VC they just made it a "Colorful Sunny Liberty City"

As you know Rockstar is a british company and because of that they like british characters.. My question is.. how did you find all british characters accents in GTA series??

If you completed G-Spotlight you should be able to unlock all Sparrows at VC... After dressing up you can find a sparrow north side of (From your garage) grassy area.. fly it to near exit and trigger the bomb.. after that kill all nearby cops and directly fly away..

Your next game should be SAN ANDREAS.. It is absolutely BETTER than VC

That for me is the funniest mission in the game, the fact that i hear a bunch of Scottish guys screaming at each other because they are trying to defuse a bomb made me piss myself because of how much i was laughing.
