Anti-Aliasing for GTA 4, can anyone help? Trying to get SweetFX to work but no luck

I am using Boulotaur2024's SweetFX 1.5u from here: http://sfx.thelazy.net/downloads/

I copied the necessary files to my game path. The Rockstar launcher pops up but when it tries to load the game it's just a black screen for 20 seconds and nothing happens. It can't even launch the game. The game is loadable again once I remove the SweetFX files.

I tried disabling SMAA as well just to see if SweetFX would work with no features enabled, but it's the same issue.

Nothing in my Windows Event Viewer.

All the SweetFX log shows is:

The game is not heavily modded or anything. I just have the ASI_Loader and Fusion Fix which are pretty lightweight and shouldn't effect anything.

I don't use anything like Vulcan/dxvk that many people use. I just use the default wrapper (at least that's what I think they are called lol) that came with the game

This game has really bad aliasing and I would like to add some SMAA and even some FXAA to smooth things out.

I have an Nvidia RTX A3000 with the most up-to-date drivers.

In one of recent Rockstar Launcher updates they implemented some sort of anticheat which may conflict with custom d3d9.dll. To avoid problems with 3rd party injectors you somehow have to find a way to start the game bypassing RGL (use a modified 2020CE exe with RGSC emu or downgrade).
