Need help running the retail version of gta 3 on windows 11

I have been trying to run gta 3 on windows 11 for the past few hours, havent had any luck and the game doesnt even run, no errors no pop ups, does anyone have a fix for this?

I know you found a fix by now but this was probably because Windows 11 doesn't support Safedisc, GTA III's disc check DRM. The options to fix it are to either apply the official v1.1 patch (which removes Safedisc but leaves a CD check) or, if you want to use v1.0 (for modding purposes), use a no-cd exe.
