I have been here for 8 years (more than 365 days) yet I cannot change my display name.

Hi Forum Admins/Moderators,

 

Can you explain why I can't change my display name? It was created way back in 2014 to post only one question. I am now able to build a PC and started playing GTA games. I love the information in this forum, so I would like to change my username from "Agera One" to "Bluegix" which is my youtube channel name/gamertag. Please help. Thanks for your time.

Hi, this is because you don't have 20 posts yet so you were still in the "probationary" New Members group which has some restrictions to combat spam and trolling - given your account's age I've bumped you to full member, you should be able to do this now.

Plus, you literally just made an account a few days ago. If you're worried about a name change just make a new account. For a moment I though you were OP but you're not. Wonder if you were trolling and I fell for it.

Spamming isn't gonna do you any favours either and I'm very tempted to just tell you you need to wait a year like everyone else - we do this in our free time, we're not priority support for a company.
