Scyllus
Longtime RDR2 fan here. Started to play RDR1 for the first time in 12 years I was very young when i completed it last. Is it worth the hassle? I absolutley hate the horse system in the day it can get really bad at times.
billiejoearmstrong8
I think RDR1 is a lot less "hassle" than RDR2 in pretty much every way! Everything is simple and accessible. No feeding your horse, maintaining your weapons etc or any other "chores", no camp members nagging you to do anything. Even animations and general movement is much quicker. You can just easily do what you want when you want. It might have just seemed more complicated/difficult because you were younger, it's WAY simpler than RDR2. The horse system couldn't be easier, if you want a horse you'll find yours at the nearest hitching post or can whistle for it. If you want a different one you can use a horse deed, steal one or break a wild one, if it dies you can also do those things or just whistle and a random one will come. If you used a deed or you hitch it at a post it's now your horse. At any time in the game if you need a horse you can have one in seconds. They can also run much faster than RDR2 horses and they never trip or throw you off (unless you spur them too much to make them throw you) and you don't need to "bond" with them. It's a hassle free game and you should definitely play it! The gameplay, physics, world/music/atmosphere and story are awesome and it enriches RDR2's story and vice versa since it continues it. Krooked_
I haven't played RDR2 yet but RDR1 is one of the most fun Rockstar titles I've played tbh. In terms of things to do and all the side content I'd say it's one of their best games. Everything is so well put together from the main story missions to the random characters and encounters you come across, the gang hideouts, the bounties etc. It also still holds up visually and gameplay-wise. Drimes
If you want to know John Marstons story, if you want to experience badass gunfights with the lawmen and duels with marauders in the deserts and wild territories, along with gang feuds and dope outfits? It is very much worth the hassle. luckycanadian95 and billiejoearmstrong8
