Glitching Territories Overseas (Before Green Sabre)

Glitch works on all PS2 and PS2 Remaster versions, to my knowledge.

It has been 10 years since made the FAQ topic compiling all glitch info, and this strategy has been in the back of my mind the entire time.

The Strategy:

I am presuming you already know how to do the glitch. If not, please see the FAQ linked above. 

 

The glitch is quite old, the issue with glitching gang zones overseas early is actually getting ballas into the overseas zones before the gang attack. I resolved this by utilizing Red County and starting a gang war.

 

Place satchels on the guards in the first wave and then travel to wherever you want them to spawn. When you detonate, wave 2 always spawns near CJ, near a footpath or road. You then need to flee the attack, and keep them alive until your zone is under attack.

 

In this video I believe the attack starts at 5:20 when standing in LS. I made sure to cross the border leaving LS precisely before 5:20, as the cooldown slows down a lot when you leave.

 

The border for the change in cooldown is somewhere towards the end of the big LS territory right towards the top, but it is not actually the border of the Red County zone itself. 

 

Even when leaving LS just before the attack, I had to wait about 10 minutes whilst overseas. I suspect it was due to doing a gang war as there is a grace period between your next attack and finishing the gang war. This grace period would have been multiplied and scaled out due to standing outside of LS.

 

 

The Goal:

The ultimate goal is to glitch the SF gangs into LS, like Triads and Da Nang. It is a long shot but I have a few ideas..

 

For now I am very satisfied i was able to pull this off, and I can already see a few strategies to add more zones.

This is just one method and I have already thought of a much easier one lol, but this particular method was very entertaining for me.

Goal complete!

All SF gangs added to LS before Green Sabre. Now I will add GSF to key zones overseas so they will appear when you progress through the story. Tricky part is to get them into LV..

@Thomas2026 it's nice to see it's working but the question is.. 

 

What will happen right after Green Sabre? You will likely to lose all of your turfs and your time and effort will be wasted

Yeah it's been on the back of my mind. I was told that only the zones in LS are reset, and gangs you glitched outside of those zones can still be found wandering the streets.

 

Soo I really hope to see GSF outside the Doherty Garage so I can hire them when in at that part of the game. Same with LV.

 

Unsure if the actual gang war zones reappear when you return to LS and have to reglitch them.

 

In any case even if everything totally resets it isn't a huge problem for me. The idea is to create a sort of starter save but with heaps of gang wars over the map. I can just keep reloading this save whenever I want and do gang wars anywhere in the game, especially in 4 star zones which is fun. 

 

Very curious what will happen though..
