NotMichael
Hello there! I've played GTA IV on the XBOX 360 back in the day, and was wondering if there were any mods that would make the PC Version an overall better experience similar to that of the 360 Version. Thanks in advance!
Fleenz
in my case, what i had done was purchase a used physical copy of IV to avoid further complications considering the state of the digital copy in the current day, and also to streamline my ability to update the version to 1.0.7.0, as it's the latest form that is most compatible with mods. after typically installing and updating the game as usual, i then copy-pasted patch files from the description in this youtube tutorial into the directory. what these do is allow you to circumvent a release date checker that is now deprecated. i also used xliveless, downloaded from a post on this forum site (the first link provided in the aforementioned post still works, but may give you a false positive from your web browser), for the same reason. created a "commandline.txt" text file in the game directory and wrote only: -availablemem 6.0 so that the game can operate fully within my PC's capabilities. i got my game to work from here. however, i also kept the serial, unlock, and unlock request codes on hand just in case the social club launcher demands a proper activation still. i got the unlock request code from the GTA IV offline activation site from securom, which miraculously still works to this day. if you need to do this i'd highly recommend disconnecting your PC from the internet completely. grabbed the ASI loader from alexander blade's website. put that in the directory. grabbed the scripthook, put that in the directory. i also installed fastman92's limit adjuster. the mods i use so far aren't too deviant from the vanilla game. minor ENB called visualIV a piss filter removal kit improved traffic and pedestrian population weapon sound replacement & deadlier weapon damage if you want to make the game a bit easier on yourself i would use sjaak327's simple native trainer. it's also useful for spawning cars as add-ons and not replacements. tutorials for that here. there's plenty cars to look at on the forum's workshop section; i mainly use that as my database. i use version 1.0.7.0 and i myself cannot guarantee that any of the mods listed will work in any way on any other version. remember to make backups for anything you intend to modify and thoroughly read the readmes as you are solely responsible. hope this helps
Cinaro
Hello. Maybe start out with a ENB, so the game looks little bit fresher then the 360 version you have played. Cin
