LCS.

I know people are gonna come to my house and beat me up with mops for saying that, but idk it’s one of my favorites. It isn’t too sophisticated and just a whole lot of dumb fun

You're gonna need a five-tier home security system then

No GTA story has captivated me more than IV's. I'll never forget how invested I was when I saw Roman's apartment and business burning down and having to flee to Bohan for the first time.

So anyway, GTA Advance.

You're not alone, I love the game for its simple yet enjoyable mafioso story, and a guy with some pent up, disturbing issues like Toni makes for a fine protagonist in my book. Felt more justified as a prequel than vice city stories

I actually had to take some time to think about this. IV's story will always be top-tier for me. However, I love The Lost and Damned story. Vice City and Vice City Stories as well. But IV is #1.

A little side-note, San Andreas was very over the top. But, if you were to take the 20-minute Introduction video and tell the story separately instead of having CJ involved in everything, that would be one dope Netflix series.

“Do you like GTA stories?”

“Eh. They're alright.”

“The earlier narratives were a little too 'cheesy' for my taste. But when San Andreas came out in '04, I think that the franchise's storytelling really came into its own - commercially and artistically. The whole narrative has a deep, complex story, and a new sheen of creative writing that really gives the characters a big boost. The game has been compared to Boyz N The Hood, but I think that Dan Houser has a far more cynical, crazier sense of humor. In '08, R* North released this; Grand Theft Auto IV - their most acclaimed entry. I think their undisputed masterpiece of a protagonist is Niko Bellic. A character so complex, most people probably don't pay attention to his dialogue - but they should! Because it's not just about the sea of painful mediocrity and the chasing of narrative tropes. It's also a personal statement about the series itself.”

I already imagined people were going the mention IV, San Andreas and even V. They're logically the most developed games of the franchise when it comes to the story (even if such story is flawed). But I just wanted to point out how III and VC stories can be severly underrated sometimes. They're simpler, cut straight to the chase, and I like that.

Another vote for IV.

Before I started playing the GTA games, I had read that IV was a sort of polarising game because it was such a change in style from the games thus far (i.e. from "silly with the odd serious bit" to "serious with the odd silly bit"). But I think the story was all the better for it.

I think V showed the most ambition in trying to tie together three extremely different characters, and I think that SA might have had the best "ensemble cast" story because there were so many good characters.

San Andreas' story was fantastic; a memorable set of characters and a light hearted, entertaining plot. Each location had an interesting storyline and as a whole the story felt grand. It was a lot of fun to play through as well. So I vote it for the best story.

The Introduction for GTA SA might be one of the top selling choices for me nowadays. I watched it again and I was really surprised by how much I didnt realize how professional it is. The acting, the animation, the lines, settings. It's all perfect. It feels like a real movie, makes me wish its carried over completely to the actual game. It would be amazing if all GTA cutscenes were made like it.
