videotech_ Posted September 23, 2022 Share Posted September 23, 2022 (edited) It is rumoured the hacker who breached Rockstar Games and stole 90 clips of gameplay footage of the upcoming Grand Theft Auto and source code for Grand Theft Auto V may have been arrested and could be held in custody pending investigation by the FBI and National Crime Agency. The arrest took place on Thursday, 22 September in Oxfordshire during evening hours according to the City of London Police. This is a live thread consisting of live events occurring, more information will be updated in due course. 1:02 PM BST Earlier today, the City of London Police posted a Tweet stating a 17-year-old from Oxfordshire was arrested in connection to a hacking offense. There were no further official details released from City of London Police or National Crime Agency at this time We're waiting for more information from the FBI and other authorities, please stay tuned to the thread for live updates. But there's an entire team of them, he's not alone. He was arrested before so it was easier to get to him again but what about the rest all over the world? A hack is something that will be investigated for a long time too so I assume they won't be able to talk about any details for a while until more things are set in stone. For now it's impossible to know if this is related to R*, Uber, or anything else.
