Hi guys, i'm here just for curiosity and maybe help someone. A time ago i was playing GTA SA, i remember i was on the latest Los Santos missions and the bridges to Las Venturas/Blane County doesn't open at all. I was playing the Steam version downgraded with a few fixes mods with only modloader, nothing instrusive, cuz i like keep things original, and even unistaling these mods the problem persisted. I just want to know if this happen with someone too or just for me, and what do you thing it was happened. I was searching for a solution for this at the time, but i got nothing.

My theory is, maybe was a bug with the savegame, but i don't know, was a save that i did almost anything, all colectibles (except oyster), races and etc, just missing a few missions for the 100%. Maybe this could trigged a bug? As i say, i'm just curious about it, and would like to open the discussion for this and possible help someone that this happen too. Since that, i'm afraid to reach final of the game and this happen again.

It seems like the game is working as intended? You are not meant to visit Las Venturas until finishing the missions in San Fierro.

Edit. I just read your post again, are you saying the bridges closed a second time?

Than.. you should stay away from the Steam because it's not recommended and it's confirmed by VadimM..And off course don't forget to install "Silent Patch".. Silent fixed a lot of problems..

I won't help you but you can always send your save file to me/us via http://www.gtasnp.com so we can check it 😉 You can also test the other stuff i mean "4 Stars" by passing there with using other vehicles like planes or boats 😉

The IPL flags that control the barriers can get out of sync if the save is shared between games with different data file versions. The usual scenario is that a v2 player has their map changing missions completed by a v1 player as part of an SnP request, or the other way around.

GTASnP.com has a popup display of the enabled IPL flags, and a modification tool that can drop the barriers for you.

Yes, i follow the tutorial to downgrade and modify the game. I'm use the silent patch and some fixes mods only using mod loader. About the save game i don't have it anymore, but thanks by the way.

i'm a v1 player, i never tryed open a v2 save game on a v1 game version, i thought that's not even possible. As i have the steam version, i always use the gta downgrader avaible here on GTAForums to make the game playable, because steam version is very bad, and cannot be modify and have a lot of bugs. Far as i know, the downgrader makes the game like v1. But thank you for the help, thanks you all. I will try to finish the game again, If this happen i will try to solve using the methods that you show here and return to tell the results. Is a very specific scenario to trigger this, i think.

Downgraders are not all the same. The most basic just replaces the executable so the game is more playable and compatible with mods. Swapping the exe doesn't affect the save other than to change the file ID at the start.

Most good down downgraders will also swap in the v1 scripts, which sounds like what you are using. SA saves can only be loaded with scripts of a matching version, but GTASnP can convert between PC versions easily enough, or you could swap in the appropriate script to either exe version.

There was a downgrader that also modified the data files to be compatible with v1, but I think it died when the (nexus?) servers went offline. The flags that control the barriers are part of the data files.

Still, these explanations don't seem to fit your situation, and is really unexpected for a single player. You would need to create the save with one version of data files, then complete map changing missions with the other data files, and finally switch back to the original data file version in order to see the misplaced barriers.

So if you aren't playing on multiple PCs, or reinstalling multiple times using different downgrade options, then I'm at a loss to describe how the glitch might have occurred. Still, the solution is the same - GTASnP can fix it. Good luck.
