Why not make it an Island again? Florida being an Island is more realistic than SoCal being an Island, after all.

We should treat FT Lauderdale as a borough in Miami just like people from Boca Ratón are often referring themselves as Miamians and things like the F1 or the Beach are also being said to be in Miami / Vice.

We didn't divide Los Santos between LA, Beverly Hills or Long Beach did we?

 

We should aim for a Tampa or Saint Dennis kind of second city.

Still, one thing you have been missing is the "Gellhorn Race Track." Realistically, what city could it be, if it has a racetrack, aside from Homestead or Daytona?

 

Also this topic should be merged with the successor to the mapping topic imo.

The game won't feel whole if it didn't have at least another complete city to it, SA still has the best map due to the fact you can travel to other cities (even though the map is small) if it was either by vehicle or air, something like V won't cut it at all, i mean there's no real benefit in even having LS airport for people that enjoy taking off from point A and landing at point B, where the hell I'm i supposed to fly to? but anyway there's enough rumors and leaks i suppose that say there should be another city besides VC so here's hoping for that.

We shall see. But idk about Long Beach for Fort Lauderdale is much bigger than Beverly Hills in terms of size and pop.

There has to be a second city at least in Port Gellhorn. Because I watched the leaked vid again with the shootout and Port Gellhorn looks too urban to be some small town. Reminds me of Fort Lauderdale and other southern Florida cities. Like I said no way is it some small hick town.

Yeah but look at the Lakers playing at the Forum instead of a non existent Staples Center in V, R* will not 100% trully recreate the map and will move things around for gaming / performance reasons like Salton Sea from SE to N.

 

Nothing stops them from merging things from Homestead and Ft Lauderdale and move them to the north to clear the south / southwest of the map for the Everglades and the Keys.

I just want a second city lol. Don’t care if small or big. Second city adds immersion. And agreed with your point. But I bet $100 Port Gellhorn is a city. Compton in V didn’t have its own PD for example.

Too bad we can't really tell where Port Gellhorn is with the coordinates so we could decide whether it's a separate city far away or not. It seems like every cop car in the videos had Port Gellhorn livery, even the ones that appeared near the Vice City Mambas stadium.

I think a second city (large enough to have its own airport) is important, because it will give players (especially Online) somewhere to fly to. In GTA V you take off from LSIA, but there's hardly anywhere you can go. Paleto doesn't have much in it, and doesn't even have a dedicated airfield, while the two airfields at the Alamo sea don't have much near them worth visiting. A proper second city would change that. I love that about GTA: SA, the cities feel *distinct* and you can move between them any time you like by land, sea or air

I love how we have free discussion going on on Twitter and YouTube (the biggest two leak videos are still up, millions of views now!), but a FORUM called "GTA Forums" bans all discussion or sharing of information. Why do you think TakeTwo is such a threat to you, when they aren't even bothering to delete the biggest leak videos from YouTube of all places?

maybe move St. Lucien south a bit and Naples and the Gulf Coast inland and the Keys a bit north 

 

one big Town with multiple Airports, and two smallish Towns

The 1st Amendment is not applicable on a gaming forum, nor to private actors in general. It covers US federal, state as well local government institutions and actors. This is constitution 101.

It is not allowed there either, but they are less speedy in removing it. Presumably DMCA notices have been sent all over. Just not everyone processes them at the same time. 

 

! This is completely off-topic though. So this is the last we will say about it here, let’s not disturb the good work the mappers are doing in here.
