It was cool, but it's also somewhat of a double edged knife/sword because we do not know yet in what ways this will set the project back. We don't have a release year at all yet, but if this one gets a huge delay because of the leak......at the end of the day it's nothing to celebrate.

The game was supposed to release around 2024 - 2025 based on their investor meetings, any major source code leaks could add years to those dates.

No marketing campaign nor team would leak such developer builds with this much debug etc. at this scale for clout.

 

Clearly this leak only happened because of some security violation at Rockstar, lets hope the source code isnt leaked because then itll just mean more hackers in GTAO2.
