Definitely agreed, there's nothing to hide at this point. It'd be stupid of them not to just make at least some type of formal announcement either regarding the situation, or regarding the game.

This fake is made directly for the people like you, who knows some facts about game development, but can't see a bigger picture.
It showing correct debug information just because it's a real working game build. But the little important detail here is just: this is not GTA. And you will buy any reskinned game as GTA 6 alpha footage. Good luck with it!

I'm not sure I want to spend more time here arguing with all the people calling me an idiot just because I don't buy cheap fakes. See ya later, when fakes will be officially debunked by the Rockstars or the developers of these fake footages!

The dialogue, Rockstar logos/placeholders, Rockstar dev menu .etc all match up not to mention so does the dialogue, there's no way this isn't real.

Even though it's a beta/alpha build it's still too well done to be a fake as you would need a team of legit devs and alot of money to recreate it.

Yup, some work on GTA6 started very shortly after GTA5 was released. Most resources were focused on RDR2 though, then shifted back to GTA6 after RDR2 was released.

I mean, half the footage consists of debug menus and empty maps for testing animations, so this is obviously either from a very old build (maybe hence why all the filenames seem to be called "Americas") or, perhaps, just a small portion of the game with a deliberately lowered graphical fidelity so whatever scripts are being tested can run smooth. I would be very surprised if it's representative of the current stage of development.

That's part of the build system, not part of the game's code
