Well i mean, rockstar games launcher was published for a reason, so i think we will get simultaneous release both on PC and consoles

Lol then you don't really have much game development experience. At least not much outside of commercial engines (Unity/UE).

 

This is 100% legit. All the debug information makes sense, they're using Dear ImGUI as the debug UI showing perfectly believable information, as shown before by Rockstar themselves HERE. The assets shown aren't part of any GTA game shown before, if anything, just some vehicles, but none of the map/character assets. Rockstar has shown before how they'll reuse vehicle assets anyways, as it just makes sense being in the same universe and high quality assets. Even the police car, that I believe is a new model anyways, has custom textures indicating the location (Vice City).

 

To make a leak like this, you would need to actually be making a game about Vice City (which isn't legal and no one would put money into this) or a very similar game and change all the references to Vice City. 

 

And after seeing part of the code, it has been made by people that has been in Rockstar for +15 years but aren't generally known names (David Muir).

 

I'm a game developer and love making not only games, but game engines and graphics stuff. This stuff looks very legit and similar to the tools I would use while working (though much more refined), I have absolutely no doubt it's not fake.

Let's touch upon the most important thing first:

 

This is colossal. Everything I'm seeing looks legitimate and the rumours are aligning with this. From the bonnie/clyde storyline [I see two apparent protags] to the Vice City setting and even references I've seen to other GRAND THEFT AUTO games [ie: the tech guy who was killed in V as spoken by the junkie]. This is either the most elaborate fake I have seen, or real. I'm 90% sure it's the latter.

 

So what this mean, and what is there to say? First and foremost, this will probably end the era of game designers sitting on content for a stupid amount of time to build hype [in this instance a decade]. The cyber reality of the modern world means attacks like this are increasingly common. Building up huge hype without saying anything is not only exploitative of fans, but opens companies up to absolutely colossal hacks such as this one. The bottom line: what's the point? This probably would not have happened had Rockstar given us something already. The game is seemingly in some kind of workable state, to the extent that they probably could've done something, even concept art with a logo on it. They could've said something and they know it, instead they stayed silent, riding off the time-induced hype.

 

Legally speaking, I wish you all the best OP. The finest IP lawyers in the world will be working on this case right now from the City of London. They would've been called in over the weekend on gold standard pay to manage this breach. People will be hunting you like a shark.

 

I also have to thank you. This probably marks a shift in how game designers view hype cycles.

 

We will probably never see a wait for a game as long as we have done for GTA6 without receiving anything ever again.

 

It's simply too big of a risk now. Their approach has necessitated this kind of attack by desperate fans IMO. You simply can't sit on a follow up to the most successful media of all time and not say anything for almost ten years. The world does not work like that anymore. 

 

Put simply, this is an historic attack.

 

This post 1000%, We live in a time where leaks are increasingly common and in fact, to apply pressure. To some, this may be "payback" for the little antics they have been doing with the modding community recently, but for R*...I'll let the community decide for that.

I'm talking about GTA V code, not the VI.

FiveM is basically tapping into the exe functions (ie. in binary), and it's hard and long to understand how to. That's why it's pretty limited (you can't control npc spawn for example). With the source code (just plain text) it will be much simpler and comprehensive

Slack doesn't change the filename you upload. The files were recorded with XBOX Game Bar, which sets the date as the filename, so unless someone manually changed them they're accurate.

Screw the 202X release date! At this rate after leaking almost 10k lines of code if OP keeps leaking more we might aswell be able to compile and run our own sh*tty gta 6 dev demo :kekw:

It's likely this all the debug junk costs a lot performance and these alpha/beta builds often don't have that last optimization pass.

Usually a good indication that the game is in development, and as such isn't complete.

In this pic most of the ui has not changed, it indeed has to be prealpha or something. Can anyone confirm this?

as someone who works with confidential Documents for Production of Parts for Car Companies 

 

the Security in the Intranet for the Company itself is extremly bad so if someone would be able to enter the Network somehow he would have Access to Plans for Parts for Electric Cars of a german Brand coming out between 2023 and 2026

Yes, in a big game you want to disable as much irrelevant stuff as you can when testing so you can create testing builds quicker and get to the part to debug quicker, so it's not that unheard of to have things like lighting, physics, timed events and other stuff disabled.

Yeah , i think it's because the Early Alpha Stage. And it's kinda surprising that some of the video stated that they use a GTX 1080 for testing the Stage.

Spoken like someone who has never used UE. There’s a lot in there that would be challenging to do in UE if you’re not a professional developer, and some things that I honestly have no idea how you’d implement in UE, like the debug pop ups.
