Controversial but hear me out. Interesting thought.. Op has tried to push more leaked images/videos but the mods act instantly or have his account softlocked, the website majority of gtaf moderators are on this topic constantly refreshing to assure nothing more is posted by this user whilst also maintaining the topic open and not locked as the attention is far to great for ad revenue to close it.

Exactly 19 years ago (to the day), Half-Life 2's source got leaked as well, and Gabe Newell posted this:

6) Periodically for the last year we’ve been the subject of a variety of denial of service attacks targetted at our webservers and at Steam. We don’t know if these are related or independent.

Well, this sucks.

What I’d appreciate is the assistance of the community in tracking this down. I have a special email address for people to send information to, [email protected]. If you have information about the denial of service attacks or the infiltration of our network, please send the details. There are some pretty obvious places to start with the posts and records in IRC, so if you can point us in the right direction, that would be great.

We at Valve have always thought of ourselves as being part of a community, and I can’t imagine a better group of people to help us take care of these problems than this community.

The leaker self-admitted that they were sorry for their actions but got arrested by German police before he could do anything.

 

Valve proceeded to rewrite most of the game over the next year before releasing it in November 2004. The problem with a modern GTA is you can't rewrite it in a year lol. sh*t took like a decade

It's incredible how GTA has advanced since San Andreas, I still play SA-MP and I imagine the number of things that can be done around the world of "roleplay" in this GTA VI.

Not like there aren't other websites where he could post it. And even if he posted it here with a VPN and new acc it'd spread like wildfire before the mods could react.

It was all deleted but I have the .cpp.

The other parts that were posted were small snippets of random code requested by people.

Considering the game looks this good in a debugging state with nearly all of the post processing turned off along with other stuff, I can't even imagine how good this will look as a finished product. I know they can release a trailer anytime they want and it'll be super popular but they'd be really smart to release one in a few days

didn't Rockstar employees work in segments on the game, with some parts of the team not knowing what others were working on? like how does one dev have the entire source code? 

 

or would every dev have access to the entire code?
