You can get a virus from any file, in the case of mp4, it is difficult to get infected (it is not an executable file), but you can. Exploit for example. In any case, downloading files from unknown people is not the best thing to do.

Also how do you get a Code but literally no more Game files? if you are going to sit down to negotiate you have to show what you have.

if gta v and gta 6 source code leaks it will be interesting to see how it will be compilable because if we are able to compile it we will have access to the whole games assets which means testlevels, unused content in retail build etc very early stuff.

He may have it, but there's a leap from socially engineering access to a devs Slack account and getting recordings (which are common in Slack for game devs) to the source code for V and VI and a working test build. The latter stuff is not something that's floating around on a Slack chat, I'd imagine.

He literally posted a paste with 10,000 lines of code and it looks pretty legit. Doubt thats easilly faked tbh

its most likely not as easy to compile such a codebase, so i get why theres no running build of the codebase.

However, he also claimed to have a test build, so why didnt he record footage of this?

 

If i remember correctly, people requested to look up specific files and he did. So i am pretty sure they werent screenshots from Slack. Admins probably deleted the screenshots though.
