Hey all, to give some insight into what is probably happening at Rockstar right now…they are probably working to contain the hack and restore their infrastructure. They most likely have Mandiant on retainer to assist in the investigation.

 

Mandiant will be under NDA and there is a chance that if no customer data was at risk…that they won’t go public.

 

If something comes along worthy of speaking on I’ll post it in the spread. Just a reminder…this isn’t just a leak …rockstar was breached by an external threat.

I agree. But if his plan was always a negotiation with Take 2 and Rockstar, I’d imagine he held a lot back.

 

If he got into the Rockstar slack channel, there’s practically no chance there was only 90 videos there.

It was RDR2 pre-release leaked gameplay that Take-Two deleted everywhere on Western social media. It was like 4 days before the game's release

It amazes me how nobody on the internet never seen a dev build of a video game and thought this was a fully fledged finished thing lol lol.

 

Of course there will be assets from GTA 5, like GTA 5 has assets of IV. I'm sure if you dig enough in this 6 DEV build you'll even find game assets from GTA IV.

4 days, pfffft. GTA 6 isn't coming out in few more years and we've already seen the gameplay. Rockstar must be in total panic.

Whether it was a security failure or not, Slack is going to take some sh*t over this, and companies are going to take a long hard look as to whether companies should be discussing internal business on 3rd party message platforms. Slack's lawyers may want a bite out of this guy too.
