The difference is that now we've seen it early and raw, instead of being presented by rockstar on a platter with a cherry on top.
Everyone got exactly what everyone wanted - information. We knew already that the game exists, we just didn't know what it was.

I've seen people crying about this all around, people might be shocked by the news but nothing bad has happened yet, we're waiting for rockstar or T2 to respond, remember?

And it's all gonna be down to how they respond, so if you're a depressed negative type person the only thing you can see in this situation is moral trauma and whatnot..

If they play it the right way this could be a good marketing start, and or motivation for them because they will get a lot of feedback from the community, and it sure ain't bad feedback from what we've seen.

He said in the first few pages of the thread that he got into slack. We know it was India because the names on footage are Indian and confirmed to by at Rockstar India according to their LinkedIn.

 

My two cents is that he doesn’t actually have source code. He has (via Telegram) set a seemingly low request of five figures for the source code. Five figures is not much, YouTubers could afford that for example.

 

I think he is bluffing with the code as a way to get five figure sums from as many people as possible via crypto scamming. I don’t believe he actually has any. Just screenshots of code devs have sent each other on Slack. Because of the scale of the leak it almost justifies that he could have source code, but in reality there is nothing to suggest he’d have access to such things.

He has only obtained access to a messenger service and download messages that devs have sent to each other.

Remember when rockstar was sending goons to modders houses and harassing their families? I don’t feel a crumb of sympathy for rockstar about this sh*t… milking the same game for almost a decade, nonexistent security that leak’s peoples IP and personal info… this was destined to happen eventually. If he doesn't get what he wants, he could very well release the ending of the story, and other key moments, and basically force Rockstar to re-write, since there would be much lower hype for a story where all the twists are already known for 2+ years.
