This is going to get buried FAST but I'm just going to ask it...

Does anyone know the song playing on the Kington Hotel clip?

Even though this is really, really early in-development game footage you can still see that some things are already miles, miles ahead of stuff that you can find in GTA V.

even if the source code gets leaked?

Yes, the game is going to released regardless, just delayed.

Power seats & steering wheel controls is a HUGE tiny (lol) detail, I don't think I've even seen Forza or GT do this feature.

I preferred the last teapot i spoke to on a sunday, he was alot more alluring.

The good news is the GTA V source code is potentially floating around the web, when that eventually surfaces what a win for preservation.

Imagine your very early development features are already better than a game released in 2022.

Ye, looking at you, Saints Row.

Take 2 Interactive are now copyright striking videos on YT. This is crystal clear confirmation... of what we already knew!

Maybe the guy far from a gamer and just casually stepped on gta 6 stuff on slack. Hacking for fun, aside from his homework, drinking tea and watching tiktok or smth.

He did apparently also hack Uber and leaked their source code and sh*t, so that is possible.

a weird CGI in the middle of desert with cadillac escalade, has gta 4 minimap, then the player enters a heli and video cuts off.

there is also another one that shows gta 4 pause screen with supossedly gta 5 map, bigger than what we got, has an island on bottom left of the map.

This will probably go down as the craziest and busiest thread in GTA Forums history.

I still don't know what is happening ...

I feel like its very unlikely GTA6 will be cancelled. But its probable that it will be delayed due to changes that will internally happen for their security posture, internal employee trainings such and such.

Hell, this leak isn't just going to change things for Rockstar, the whole industry is going to change in reaction to this. Watch them try to limit "work from home" as much as possible. Cause using a 3rd party is just asking for leaks.

They were aiming at around a 2024 release date based on their investor meetings.

I just looked it up again, and I don't see Rockstar suggesting a release date. In fact, the only time they mention dates is them saying they don't have a release date and that they won't be releasing anything in Q4 2022.

I do see a lot of people quoting Non-Rockstar "industry insiders" and that kind of thing is definitely just conjecture. That's why the dates they mention across articles aren't consistent. They literally had little clue what the status of development GTA 6 was in. You gotta remember that we know way more about the game now than these guys did and we still have hours old insight.

Ok the leaker is kinda f*cking stupid by trying to sell this. Probably gonna get f*cked for the entire of his lifetime. But thanks though.

The leak didn't happen because work from home. It happened because their employees didn't follow security protocols when accesing their data.

WFH work will probably be affected. Having their internal comms in Slack(saw somewhere employee got phished through Slack though not sure if that's real) i feel like is a security risk. I don't believe you can limit, or lock down slack access to VPN or internal network only.

This leak won't change anything for the industry. This has been happening since the beginning of the internet. There's been multiple leaks of other companies already, some of them working from office only and with less cloud-connected stuff than R* and nothing has changed.

Correct. An employee called Rakesh essentially opened up a phishing email that looked like an official Slack email.
