in a cursory glance i've encountered some driving physics in the code, along side of the horse physics you've mentioned. but there werent any abilities to drive cars in RDR, so im pretty sure its connected to GTA rather than RDR. maybe they put an option to ride horses in gta6 and took the physics from RDR. who knows..

What? That has nothing to do with sphere of influence and R* studios. It was T2 who filed the lawsuit, not R* North. T2 is headquartered in America. Whether they have studios in a particular country or not doesn't matter.

 

And yes, they can actually hire private investigators who may attempt to find the guy. That's entirely legal. And they can sue him, it doesn't matter whether he is from the UAE or not.

i have to admit, even if a modern day vice city was not my first (second/third) wish for gta 6, and even if has the same (now old) "feeling" of a sunny us metropol, the early build looks really good so far (graphics and stuff)

The tweets from earlier made it sound like it was really bad news in many ways, including delays. 

It will depend on how much of an effect R* wants it to have on the game's development. We don't have any release date announced yet, so we can't know for sure, but based on the videos I'd say that we might be able to get GTA6 2024 or early 2025 if they have everything in the story decided. (just my opinion, might not be accurate anyway, not enough information)

 

If the guy does not release the source code then I doubt it'll have any effect at all, maybe a month because of checking everything, security policies, etc...
