I would be VERY surprised if the leaker has more than the shown stuff. I doubt he has the full source code. Usually the version control servers / all other servers in general are blocked behind extra security.

The clips shown and probably the small source code snipped are just from the chat program, which most likely has no extra security attached - so the videos which were attached to normal chat messages could be accessed only with login data.

Test build, maybe, if they had some serious security issues how they deploy their builds to testers. But i really, really doubt he had access to the full source code / depot.

 

I also dont think the devs are bummed out by a few videos which show bugs / debug features. Yes, people will say it looks bad, but who with more than 5 braincells cares. Its obviously in progress.

 

Just look at the screenshots of VSCode he shared, I'm almost 100% that the leaker has the full source code that can be compiled into a binary and not just a couple of files here and there... You need to have access to the full source code/depot, and even if it's behind VPNs or things like that, a developer's account was compromised, so scalating from Slack to mail and other things is not that unheard of.

 

The issue is that people that have no idea are harassing the developers and saying sh*t...

It was a 10.000 lines script or something. Thats nothing for a game like this. The game has probably a million code lines, and the engine another few millions.

The 10.000 lines could be a single file a dev could have posted as a chat message to someone.

That file is part of the game's engine. Contains tasks and links of those tasks to the scripting engine in the game
