I severely doubt this is any kind of PR move. Someone said there's a part of the source code that was posted earlier in this thread? No way they would ever risk something like that for a stunt. Someone also pointed out that there's straight up spoilers for stuff like game secrets & easter eggs in the 50+ min footage released.

As someone who has played a lot of open World/GTA clones and basically all GTA games this could be real not because of it shows beta/alpha/debug stuff in the gameplay it felt like GTA from the first second ive seen the videos, that typical feeling.

 

Only bad point is i was hoping that itll take place in the 80is and not in the present.

I do too, but not at the cost of developers & employees just doing their jobs. The ramifications would be too far-reaching.

Man, I'm just happy a new GTA exists. We've been stuck with GTA 5 for nearly a decade now.

Mind blowing, man. Love Lucia already, great character design & voice acting. The animation on her, Jason, and the cops is so well done. Amazing to see how they interact with the environments, side stepping, picking up weapons, leaning out car windows to shoot. I said it elsewhere, but this level of closely-observed character animation feels more evocative of Max Payne 3 and Red Dead than GTA V. 

The interiors are beautiful, even in this alpha state. That diner with the jukebox and ceiling lights, the robbery being shockingly intense with NPCs responding verbally and huddling together. The neon light glowing in the strip club, seeing NPCs converse and moving on to other groups to initiate on a new, distinct conversation. I cannot wait to inhabit this world.

Kind of pointless what I'm going to say, but these leaks are reminding me of that early Cyberpunk 2077 development leak that the developers are mocking the game with the REDengine open. Of course, but this time no silly jokes from the devs.

Hi I know this leak is real and I have a theory. My theory is that Rockstar itself caused this leak to create hype before the announcement, because I believe before every announcement of Rockstar games there was always a big leak, so I think Rockstar could use such a marketing strategy.

If source code has leaked .... then that's fkd up .... seen test build might get leaked, that will probably end up getting the game pushed way back or just cancelled....

How are the chances when T2 realises that "if you can't defeat them, lead them on" and says "Okay, we're doing it, we're going to show you more pieces, but please let us complete it"
