On the bright side, a leak like this might actually force R* to release more details about the game and a trailer sooner than anticipated assuming the leaked footage is 2 years old. I expect some kind of statement addressing this sh*t show from R* on Monday.

I'm honestly very unhappy with Rockstar since they got the mtx addiction, never did story dlc for 5 or RDR2, canceled the RDR1 Remaster, and released 5 3 times for full price.

I'm going to take a guess and say it's a little bit like this scene from Andrei Tarkovsky's Mirror, where the protagonist just sits down and watches while her family's barn burns down: like, yeah, it must suck for them, but what can you even do about it at this point lmao. The clips are already everywhere, every single fan will have seen a full hour of unfinished alpha footage by the end of the day, there is literally no stopping the fire that is the internet tearing into gaming leaks.

That's just a bunch of hearsay. There is no release date and thus all discussion of delays at this point is purely conjecture.

Newest footage seems to be from a week or so ago, definitely from 2022 at least. The game is still a good while away, and if any critical source code has been obtained, well, it's definitely being delayed a long while out. 2026 - 2027 isn't too unlikely in that case.

I'll put my cup of tea here, on one side, im sad for R* that their project gets showcased, on the other hand, for all the sh*t they have been doing recently (GTA +, Removing Songs from older GTA Games through Update, Re-Re-Re-Re-releasing GTA 5 to earn more cash, Shutting Down Mods, GTA Definitive Edition and tons of more stuff) I feel a bit of Schadenfreude against them
