The game without delays could very well still be out for a 2025 release. R* and Take Two are heavily against modding, so any source code leaks could add major delays.

Just my two cents - it's great to see that there are distinctly different character sizes and shapes. Female is shorter than most, if there is a lot of that it would liven up the world.

As of how R* will react - possibly not at all. They always distance themselves from the real world discussion, and are tight lipped about rumors. The time when something will come out from R* considering GTA6 is nearer everyday, but I don't think this will have an effect.

Or who knows, maybe this is their guerilla marketing tactics yet again? This wouldn't be unfathomable for them, expect maybe the source code leaks etc. If it is the real sauce, I think this was a leak/data theft. Then, the person who did this, is in deep end for years to come, with weighs on ankles.

Yeah I'm not sure I want to witness the ramifications of leaking f*cking source code, especially on GTAF. It feels kinda wrong looking at the videos alone. But it has given me a very optimistic and positive outlook on the game. 

 

I hope they push the marketing up rather than back. It could help remedy the whole situation.

Unlikely, assuming this isn't PR (it sounds ridiculous, but PR companies love leaking anything and everything. (A previous company i worked for had plans for a city center office renovation 'leaked' for free press). By responding to or even acknowledging any leak as a company, that sets a precedent going forward - if they only deny some leaks then people will start to question whether those leaks were responded to for a reason, or if the reason other leaks weren't acknowledged was for a reason. Their damage control is likely to purely be internally. Even a high profile lawsuit or similar in response to un-released or announced products would be a pretty undesirable outcome for them. They would probably take public action against the poster for leaking 5 source code though.

Story-wise, it's probably set 10 years after the events of GTA V so it's not literally the same era. And we know next to nothing about the story other than the protags names and that they are a criminal couple sorta like Claude and Catalina and given RDR2's success and some of the features they're bringing back from it, i wouldn't be surprised if the game's story is more in line with the more serious R* titles. I'm on a heavy dose of copium on that front anyway lmao

The fact that some people are even doubting that this is gonna look good in the end, come on. These guys made GTA, they made RDR, you'd think GTA 6 would be in really good hands, which it is! Some of you, show some respect for Rockstar. I really enjoyed the videos that showed the early build, but don't go out of your way to disrespect Rockstar or their devs for something that isn't even done yet. These things take time, it is 2022 and a lot of people show know that now.
