Nawaf
Hi everyone, can’t believe GTAV is turning 10 years old next year, since GTAV is important game to rockstar, especially it’s online, I doubt rockstar will miss a great opportunity to release a mobile version next year. if we look back, GTA 3,VS,SA and LCS had it’s own mobile version when they hit their 10th anniversary, so it’s no secret that the current mobile tech can easily handle this Game. to me, I will be very interested to have GTAO in my pocket, I will be pleased if they did that. Yoona
I don't think so. It's true most $400 phones could run GTA V at like PS3 graphics level, but what about the controls? They are way too complex to even enjoy such a game on a phone. They could just release Story Mode if they wanted, no way they would bother with online, but lack of Nintendo Switch version kinda suggests they won't bother. Rockstar can figure it out somehow, and like I said it’s a great opportunity, how many people have phones in their hands? Millions if not billions, and let’s not forget they purchased zynga, so they can port their popular titles such as GTA, RDR etc. Edited September 16, 2022 by Nawaf Bizz91

Good luck with that, it might be true that the 3d gtas have been ported but the hd ones? Impossibile seeing it as the future, but who know maybe the iPhones or a phone that has a mid range pc hardware inside

Have you seen this game on PS3 lately? It’s still a technical diamond.

Have you seen how well Witcher 3 runs on Nintendo Switch? That game is way more demanding than GTA V and was only released on 8th gen consoles and PC. Pretty sure Rockstar can manage by making the game controller only on mobile.
GAMRKNIGHT
haha... hahahahahaha.... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Not to ignore the fact that the game simply would not be able to work at a basic level on most mobile devices at a half-decent framerate, but the controls would be a goddamn nightmare. Even if there was a way, no way that Rockstar would be willing to dump the resources to develop a mobile version that may or may not prove profitable when there's millions of children as is who will buy up shark cards by the truckload on the console and PC versions of GTA V. Max Payne
tldr: I believe mobile devices can very much run the game but rockstar probably won’t do it. Mobile devices include tablets too, don’t they....not 4K 120fps obviously but I believe most phones can easily run the game at 1280x720 30fps, no? There is the heating and battery stuff obviously but this doesn’t stop people from playing loads of games on mobile. oh and yeah, tablets. Obviously not everyone has it but now there is ipad pro with M2 chip or something i think. I have a hard time believing those devices couldn’t run the game smoothly and it’s only a matter of time till these chips become last gen and drop in prices. Controls I don’t know, lots use auto aim so that doesn’t have too much consideration but the rest? Probably would suck but still doable.

Bizz91
Even if it comes to phones on 10th anniversary, will it take 100 GB, 90 or less with compression? Also will phones ranging from low end to high ones with Mediatek to Qualcomm will be able to run it fine without making it toast? And ofcourse mods. Max Payne
17GB with all the updates installed. The hardware had 512 MB of RAM which you might have confused it with. Bizz91 and NightmanCometh96
44Orca
I don't think we will ever see it on mobile, I will be very surprised if so. But mobiles are still not there yet to run it. (how is ithat mobiles are like mini PCs now, if you told me this in 2008 I wouldn't believe it) If we talking about GTA Online then it's simply not possible due to how many controls it has, no idea how that could work as said above. But hey, we can't predict the future.
