jeroll3d
RDR2 is a game considered by many executives, directors, programmers, game design lovers, etc., from other companies in the game industry as 'the example to be followed by all'. It is a game praised and remembered even by movie stars. Through the Steam platform, it maintains a high average number of players online, through other launchers, too - and it's a relatively old game, 2018. In public reviews, on google, for example, it reaches 4.9 out of 5. metascore, metacritic, impressive 93 points out of 100. Here I restrict myself to PC numbers. Very few games in the industry have achieved as many feats and goals as RDR2. Even with graphics for past generations of computers, so to speak, it's beautiful - plastically speaking. Extremely detailed, which undoubtedly demonstrates the commitment of its developers. I could praise it for a long time and under several aspects, even though I'm not an assiduous 'in game' fan (I play occasionally, because my predilection is in the sci fi genre). However, from what I've been reading - correct me if I'm wrong - the game is a bit abandoned by Rockstar. I believe that many companies in the world would like to have produced a game that manages to maintain a relatively high average of online players and the audience that comes and goes through the main story (singleplayer). Sales on Steam also reveal this (RDR2 is always, literally, always at the top - among the 30 best-selling games). Rockstar could take better care of its game and guarantee not only more audiences, but a larger and more loyal audience, something also rare in the game industry that today becomes increasingly volatile and cartelized (cartels/monopoly). Buddy Hightower
sharkcards or bust - f*ck rockstar RDR2 is by far the best single player story driven game ever to have existed. The online version could have been great but they tried to make it a GTAO clone and it failed because of it. Should have never sped up the animations, should have never put any focus on PvP ever, and should have just developed stories for co-op play. We did our part. I just don't think that there's anybody at R* who wants to work on a "cowboy" game as they would rather spend their time making cars and flying crotch rockets. Me personally, I'd give an arm and a leg to have the know how and opportunity to work with a game like RDR. jazzbone, kcole4001 and jeroll3d
jeroll3d
I uninstalled the game just now, I tried to complete some rare solo missions that exist in online mode (I prefer to play with a female character - and I believe that the story/campaign, whose character is male, is very good) but in the online mode, I was intercepted 95 % of the time by PVP players. I can't stand/like the idea that someone can impose a 'game style' (PVP) on me. I don't like PVP, I find it a hostile environment, I feel bad in a PVP environment - I prefer PVE. The game is - without a doubt - everything what I wrote before, fantastic, but terribly managed/directed. Of course, I say this as a rant, because I was deeply frustrated in not being able to enjoy the beautiful landscapes that the game has more and not even complete missions. Bella Odessa
It's such a beautiful game; I still pick it up from time to time. Just so much wasted potential. Worst thing is R* could stand to make more money if they actually put the effort into it. But no one ever wants to spend the extra anything to do something right the first time.
