Your most memorable areas in game?

Mine would be Mirror Park and its surrounding village. It reminds me a lot of Glen Park in GTA SA. If you haven't seen it yet, there's a little stairway that goes up from the LS River.

Paleto Bay comes next, there's something so scenic about a little town by the foot of a mountain. Reminds me a lot about Angel Pine.

The LS River is also memorable to me since I had quite a lot of time testing vehicles there in GTA SA, but I barely go to the LS River in GTA V/Online.

Grapeseed would have been higher if there was a purchasable farmland, but the closest thing to such is the Farmhouse Bunker.

Del Perro would have also been more memorable if we could purchase an apartment in one of the houses.

Honorable mentions:
Chumash - I'd love to have a stilthouse there someday.

Vinewood Hills - Nice view

Don't wanna sound boujee but it's Rockford Hills for me.

I think that near 10 years of me playing the game, the most concentrated place where I'd find myself cruising around would be here.

Shout-out to La Mesa, got my nightclub there and bunch of warehouses, it always reminded me of BOABO from GTA 4 where Brucie lived. Got that loft industrial feel to it!

Paleto Bay

The attention to detail that this crusty ass engine can output shines more in Paleto Bay than in the city.

For me it's any area I spend a lot of time in. Many of the Survival maps or areas immediately around a business where I did a lot of grinding or routes I drove to drop-off points for business sell missions.

The lake at Mt. Gordo. Often friends and I fly a Tula/Seabreeze there at the end of sessions to swim, dive off an Avenger, or tear up and down the mountain on Aqua Blazers.

I also love that fenced hiking trail that runs along this same eastern coast of Mt. Gordo.  I like trail running IRL, so in-game I’ll run there, or bring a bicycle in a pickup bed, and bike the trail in first person (especially during thunderstorms, fog, etc).

I’m hoping GTA VI embraces the outdoor activities and geography further, if red dead’s gorgeous map is any indication.

SqualidCoyote

I moved from my high rise swanky apartment to a cruddy house in Paleto Bay. I now wake up in a dingy charmless aircraft hanger but man I miss that crap shack, the neighbourhood and the joys it brought. Peace from all the mad people going crazy in the street and the jet griefers strafing anything that moved. There was an ammo shop nearby, a beach free from nutters on their 1X1 shooting sprees and when I was short of cash OOOHHH the joy of finding a modified Rat-Loader outside Beeker's Garage. I think I might move back actually...

Forgot to mention that I used to practically own most of East LS back then. I had my Clubhouse and Arcade in addition to my warehouses. But, I moved them to Paleto Bay and Grapeseed respectively even though my house is just accross the street from my Grapeseed Arcade.

In this case, I spend a lot of time in East LS and I even had two major properties there until I moved them upstate.

I used to have a Yacht by that Lighthouse, until I moved it to Paleto Bay as well. But, I still have my out-of-sight facility nearby.

I love the level of detail and the map design of Cayo Perico, but there's just no way of enjoying it without trying not to get caught, unless I'm in the deserted areas. Those dilapidated shacks, and the map as a whole reminds me a lot of Far Cry 3.

The LSIA, I just love it during every part of the day but dawns and sunsets are incredible. Obviously I've an hangar there with one of my characters. Also the two high-end garages, Bilgeco special cargo warehouse and the vehicle warehouse.

East Vinewood, especially Casino and Racetrack area. I damn love the Racetrack.

Elysian Island & Terminal, most likely for the same reason I like LSIA, plus I like industrial areas, docks and ships. Always loved airports and docks in GTA games due to industrial vehicles that spawn in these areas.

Downtown Vinewood, one of my chars has the nightclub while the other got the clubhouse in that area, plus it's close to the Casino.

Grapeseed, my beloved Arcade is there, also the house next to it, the low-end garage, the clubhouse and the weed farm.

Paleto Bay:

I dunno, I just like this quite little Town. Main got his MC up there including a doc forgery. Enjoyed quite a few car meets up there back in the day with my old crew.

Cayo Perico:

The place I have probably visited close to 500 times now and that has made me the most money. I'd love to give El Rubio a new pair of concrete shoes and take over the whole thing for myself.

I wish we get to settle our own empire on that island. I mean, imagine using that island as a business hub for a revamped MC business. Make it so the IAA doesn't want "foreign interests" working to bring down the American society using drugs and they send us with an aircraft carrier to "commandeer" that place for IAA interests.

Imagine using the farms and coke shacks for our MC business (they can reuse the interiors), we can use the docks for boat deliveries using Longfins, the airfield for whatever aircraft for air deliveries, and Enduro deliveries throughout the island, on-land. Plus, we get to have our own nightlcub by the beach that goes live at night.

Make it so that the our own version of Cayo is accessible via the airport or Kosatka Fast Travel and El Rubio's older version through missions only.

Totally agreed on keeping your Yacht moored near the Lighthouse. That was one of my favorite spawn locations, especially in public servers when few seldom ventured near there.

The wilderness areas definitely bring back my memories of SA on PS2. I remember my first time biking up Mt Chiliad then, slowly realizing the scope and scale of open game worlds to come.

When I began running Doomsday Heists in earnest, I moved my Facility from Gordo to Land Act Reservoir. Partly because I wanted all my businesses closest to the city, and to save my friends driving time.  It also gives me strong "You Only Live Twice" volcano lair vibes, though I miss having a property in the north east.

I love landing seaplanes at Land Act Reservoir, and taking off again with VTOL. I wish we could spawn aircraft right there, rather than needing to go down to the Casino racetrack.

I hang out around Davis and Strawberry a lot as some of my businesses are there. I especially like taking the alley shortcut that connects the south end of Power Street to Forum Drive. I've taken it so much in Gerald missions.

I also have a love for Harmony. Spawning Sandkings at the RV lot. Making outfits at the Binco. Stopping at the Fleeca Bank ATM to deposit cash. Doing Sanchez backflips on the cliffs near the prison. Clipping the road signs just right so the sign falls off but the post stays in the grounds. Not to mention Sprunk machines on both ends of town.

Chumash or Burton for me, mainly because of that central LSC and the amount of times I did Fleeca trying to get elite challenge back in the day

As beautifully done for many state parks and influences, I love my Maze Bank area on top of the building, overlooking everything.  A vast empire of nothing but profit.  I know Maze is based off US Bank, and my actual bank.

I don't think so.

The hood area in GTA SA is basically Eastern Los Santos only. Although, that district is comprised of Ganton, Idlewood, Jefferson, Las Colinas, East LS, East Beach, Playa del Seville, Little Mexico, Glen Park and El Corona. Verona Beach is not in Eastern LS, but it's a gang territory, same as Temple.

In GTA V, it is comprised of roughly the same neighborhoods, but bigger. Davis (Ganton), Rancho (Jefferson, Little Mexico, El Corona), El Burro Heights (Las Colinas), La Mesa and Murrieta Heights (East LS), Cypress Flats (East Beach), Strawberry and Chamberlain Hills (Idlewood), La Puerta (Playa del Seville), Mirror Park (Glen Park) as well as Vespucci Beach (Verona Beach). If you map it out it's one huuuuge area.

As for gang territories, yes, there are only fewer spots where gangs are in huge numbers, but the areas I stated spawn gang members walking and driving around, especially the ones in South LS. In GTA SA, gang members also spawned in Santa Maria and Temple. So, in some way these are hood areas as well. But, using this logic in GTA V, we can also say Little Seoul, East Vinewood and the port are also hood areas since Korean Mafia and Triads, Lost MC, and Merryweather spawn in them respectively. Most of the time people only compare South LS in GTA V to the entire Eastern Los Santos in GTA SA, which is unfair since South LS in GTA V only comprises of 5 neighborhoods (excluding Banning), and the areas with gang presence (aka the hood) in GTA SA comprised of 11 neighborhoods.

If you're gonna say it's small, might as well just mention Ganton, Idlewood, Jefferson, and Playa del Seville exclusively.

Glad I purchased the Maze Bank Tower as my office. It will always be my favorite base jumping spot, in addition to the nice view of the countryside.

For me, it's definitely a group of areas that are only related to each other to me. But if I had to pick one of them, it would be the LifeInvader building. That was the first rooftop I managed to motorcycle parkour my way on to, starting from the top of the parking garage a few blocks away. I think it's the one south of the Ammunation on the same block. It really awakened something in me back then, and I've spent probably a couple hundred hours trying to bounce and hop my way onto all sorts of roofs and learned many things about the physics engine to the point where I can generally ramp a motorcycle over a flat wall that's roughly as tall as the motorcycle is long, assuming I can wheelie it high enough. Never really done any massively huge jump stunts, but these small, subtle things bring me great joy.

That, or the metro tunnels and all connected tunnels. I memorized those ages ago, within a month of the release of the game and they have been a staple of my experience. From ditching cops to trolling players, I've only ever been bested by cheaters when I managed to scurry into my warrens.

Not the Yacht? I remember before Cayo was released I had hopes of using our Yachts to fast travel to Cayo in complete style.

Depending on what island you buy, you get different travel locations on the map. Fly to them, and you get a little cutscene of your plane landing on your own airstrip, go by boat, and it's you sailing to a stop at the docks or if you choose to go by Yacht you get a cutscene of it arriving.
