How to install GTA IV:SA mod using GTA IV: Complete Edition Steam Version?

The problem is that with GTA IV: Complete Edition Steam Version, I don't have the file "LaunchGTAIV.exe", instead I have "PlayGTAIV.exe". So the mod simply doesn't launch, it says Launchgtaiv.exe file can't be located or something like that when I press start button at IV:SA launcher.

 

But sadly this mod, as it was abandoned around 2013 or so, needs "LaunchGTAIV.exe" file for working. So, does anyone know how to fix this problem?

 

I already downgraded the GTA to 1.0.7.0, even 1.0.4.0, but it's same thing, I still have the "PlayGTAIV.exe" file instead of "LaunchGTAIV.exe" one. And yeah, changing the name of the file doesn't work.

Hello.

 

Always make sure to back up your game files before modifying it.

 

After you successfully downgraded to "1.0.7.0" or " 1.0.4.0"

you can launch the game with > "GTAIV.exe"  ( located in your main game folder not on the desktop )

So do not  "LaunchGTAIV.exe" that will try to update the game again, with steam and social club to the newest version again.

I have the same problem, I downgrade the game, I installed the GTA IV SA Beta 3 mod, but when I try to open it, it says exe not found. When I try to open it from GTA IV.exe, it gives a fatal error. Normally it would open with PlayGTAIV.exe, but now it doesn't work either. What should I do?
