DarkDayz
When Arthur tells John: Quote “When the time comes, you better run and don’t look back.” This was used in the very first teaser for the game and I didn’t clock on to the significance of it until I played RDRI recently. In the final mission of RDRI John says almost the exact line to Jack. Powerful stuff. Some others I love. Quote “I wish I had acquired wisdom at a lesser price.” Hosea Matthews Quote “Nothing means more to me than this gang. I’d kill for it, I’d happily die for it. I wish things were different, but it weren’t us who changed.” Arthur Morgan Edited August 29 by DarkDayz Sean800, Jisoo, BigBoyBertram and 1 other

Lemoyne outlaw
anything from micah is gold. his actor deserves a billion medals. angelo bronte has a lot of great quotes too. even though he only has a couple of appearances. jonhyosbourne
Jisoo
"You'll damn us all" - Hosea Short and powerful quote, and he was 100% right. Going after Bronte was a big mistake and I reckon they couldve pulled off the Saint Denis heist if the city wasnt on high alert after Brontes death, plus the events that follows literally damns the gang by Hosea himself dying. Sean800
"Leave the boy alone". "Or what?" "Or I'll kill you too". "You could kill no one". Man I felt that. I know that Arthur later kicks the man's butt, but I really felt that. In that mission I understood that Arthur is not feared anymore. He's a dying man. Cutter De Blanc
This whole interchange: "And to what do we owe the pleasure... Agent Moron?" "I don't know if you're aware, but this... this is a civilized land now. We didn't kill all them savages only to allow the likes of you to act like human dignity and basic decency was outmoded or not yet invented. This thing...it's done." "This place... ain't no such thing as civilized. It's man so in love with greed... He has forgotten himself and found only appetites." "And as a consequence that lets you take what you please, kill whom you please, and hang the rest of us? Who made you the messiah to these lost souls you've led so horribly astray?" "I'm nothing but a seeker, Mr. Milton." "You ain't much of anything more than a killer, Mr. Van Der Linde. But I came to make a deal. It's time. You come with me... and I give the rest of ya three days to run off, disappear, and go and live like human beings someplace else." "You came for me? Risked life and limb in this den of lowlifes and murderers so that they might live and love? Ain't that fine." "I don't wanna kill all these folk Dutch... just you." "In that case... it'd be my honor to join you. Excuse me, friends... I have an appointment to keep with..." EDIT: Here's another honorable mention of mine, from "Just a Social Call", involving the mad Dutch: "Your impudence will be your undoing." "I'm undone already. Even my best friend here, he thinks I'm crazy." Especially the: "You sure? Good, I prefer it this way." And, given the pretense of RDR2, maybe this isn't terribly fitting. However since the Strange Man makes a cameo in RDR2, I feel like this is an honorable mention as well: Those final words: "Yes. Many have." Edited September 3 by subvod Added honorable mention. MaddenedGhost
"5000 dollars? For me?... can I turn myself in?" - Arthur to Milton. "I wish things were different, but it weren't us who changed" - Arthur to John. "You disgust me, and you shame us, if we can be any more shamed than we already are" - Arthur to Strauss. "You are good women, good people... the best" - Arthur's last words to Abigail and Sadie. "This whole thing is pretty much done, we are more ghosts than people" - Arthur to Sadie. "Nothing means more to me than this gang, I would kill for, I would happily die for" - Arthur to... Bill or Shean? One of them if I remember correctly, John was there too I think. 13 hours ago, subvod said: Need not say more. I watched his cutscenes so many time I memorized his lines lol "You know... that is the darnest thing... I can't remember - The Stange Man when asked about his name. "My accounts, I am an accountant" - The Strange Man to John. "You're famous John, you are the man who shot a bunch of banditos as soon as he turned up in this country, you are the man, who decided what's right and wrong, between a man and death, between a man and his wife" - The Strange Man to John. Something about the way he talks and the words he uses sticks with me. Prime example being his response is only: "In a way." Simple, honest, and direct. Also, the nonchalant smart ass tone in which he says "we have to stop meeting like this, John." I've talked in the same manner for years, even long before I ever played RDR2. I've occasionally been made aware of how uncommon that way of speaking is nowadays, and given how many people have let me know that's the case I think that's a major reason I grew to adore how the Strange Man is portrayed in RDR1. All of his lines are voiced in an indirectly (but likely intentionally) sarcastic tone, as what it seems to me. I know this is an RDR2 focused thread, but I can't help but mention Uncle's line during The Last Enemy That Shall Be Destroyed: "Yeah, run boy." "Well, old man. Looks like things is about to get settled once and for all." "So it seems." Sean800 and MaddenedGhost
smokeless6
I finished the main story last night after hundreds of hours spent as Arthur Morgan. The one quote which will stick with me "I think I've pushed all I can" Man, that hit hard. All those hours, and conversations. Exceptional writing and voice acting. But this seemingly simple and unremarkable line will stick with me. Rest easy, Arthur. Sean800, The Artist and Cutter De Blanc
