I somehow had the odd feeling that getting hundreds of Sprunks from the agency and drinking them while driving to do it faster would not be enough.

My favorite part of Sprunk vs eCola was the unlimited Sprunk cans, before it was patched. I assumed it was Rockstar's way of featuring a new snack option.

 

Those first couple days, I had a lot of fun playing through Doomsday 3 Rambo style (appreciated the QOL payment buff, too). Similarly for Auto Shop Contracts: very fun blasting through those, helping randoms.

 

I did my part drinking thousands of those Slurm cans.

I'm not actually sure what counts towards drinking a can because there are a few different scenarios.

 

- Vending machines

- Snack option with animation

- Snack option with no animation

- As a taunt (may be different than straight drinking?)

- Weapon wheel (may be different than snack option?)

There is also two taunt options:

- Quick one, by pressing the two joysticks just a single time,

- Longer one, by pressing and holding the two joysticks until you fully finish the animation.

 

And it is the same thing in snacks inventory menu:

- Quick one, by pressing the X button just a single time,

- Longer one, by pressing and holding the X button until you fully finish the animation. *

 

* That option is bugged since many years, pressing and holding the X button in snacks inventory menu will only do the quick animation. Pressing the X button two times and holding the second press will do the longer animation, but will use two items in the snacks inventory menu.

They added a new metric called Inventory with the DLC. It informs them of whether you consumed the snacks via a vending machine or from the interaction menu or via the weapon wheel.

 

Also, worth noting that most VPNs cause issues with the game's telemetry. Chances are if you use one, then your efforts would likely not be counted.

The Sprunk memes were nice but ultimately the masses of noobs quick snacking 10 eCola every mission are going to decide this battle.

More that eCola was ahead, but taking into account that we now know that there's this thing with the menu for quick snacks that eCola comes first, then yes, it doesn't seem like R* rigged something, which i would say that at least they would pull more effort into promoting eCola since it's not such a popular drink as Sprunk and this is based on the simple fact that in the history of GTA V/Online you saw more Sprunks ads, liveries, clothing, etc.

But apart from that...some youtuber copied my picture to make the thumbnail.

Yeah, unless cheat menus get updated to heavily manipulate those metrics, ecola will win by humble contribution of players who just don't give a sh*t about this event. Which is probably for the better since that green clothing looks like sh*t.

This is the sad truth. I'm sure that Sprunk would win by people who care about the event, but the quick snacks and presumably the larger number of people who don't care will ensure eCola will win.
