Who here has fully completed GTA so far?

I'm sure this will be a subjective topic.  By completing GTA, I mean all achievements.  All Awards/Unlocks.  All the little hidden easter egg trophies, and props.  All rewards.  Green checkmark next to every job, and race.  I'd say max RP Rank, but pretty sure that's not even legit possible yet.

Fully completed all the Arena Wars, LSC, CEO stuff.  And either bought, or unlocked all the clothing. 

 

I'm sure I missed some things, but it'd be pretty impressive if there's some hardcore players that have fully done all this (including filling a titan with 10 players).

I was complete until they added the doomsday stuff and that horrible arena war garbage. Did not want to grind all that stuff so I didn’t.

I plan to do that (at least those major update awards). Almost completed Original Heists, Tuners, Contract, Cayo Perico and Casino Heist awards. Doomsday and Casino are completed.

I am actively chasing what you described, I defined a set of rules for myself: no help from opposing players in competitive modes, no AFK stuff with the only exception to that being the arcade plushies, no glitches other than cosmetic ones and the Lost Slamvan glitched in, all of this with the best stats I could get legit. I am still missing stuff like playing Golf and Tenis, the Titan in the checklist, that I will eventually do.

I was, and on my way towards that alien egg slowly too...

 

...but then arena wars dropped and that completely stopped me in my tracks. I stopped caring about everything with that DLC.

 

Funny thing is, I enjoy the arena as a mode/DLC, but it only carries on, another 1000 ranks for the car meet now too.

I have only done the minimum you need to do to unlock online in Story Mode.

Well, I did do the first mission with Franklin & Lamar racing so I would stop getting the opening credits/cutscene whenever I accidently loaded into Story Mode.

Now SM just loads into Franklin standing around somewhere random.

In Story mode, I got gold on all story missions and strangers&freaks, did the flight school and completed the 100% checklist, but I still have plenty of stuff to do that isn't on the checklist. (stuff like stunt jumps only requires 25/50)

 

As for Online, I don't really care about achievements. I don't play races or DMs, just heists and some businesses. Some achievements require you to buy stuff that I don't care for, like MC businesses and arcade games.

I spent about 2B dollars and legitimately bought everything gta online had/has to offer. I feel like I've beaten online but unfortunately some of the unlocks/trophies are unrealistic for me. So I definitely give respect to those long time players for their accomplishments.. It was a bitch. 

 

One funny moment during my buy-it-all quest was buying vehicles from pegasus or something.. After purchasing 20-30 vehicles in one sitting my phone got hit with all the notifications and it rang like a slot machine hitting a jackpot. good sh*t

 

If you have a ton of money go to Pegasus and buy every single vehicle and wait for your jackpot to hit...

I never was a completionist, i don't give a sh*t about that. I seriously can't understand ppl with their OCD about achievements, trophies and sh*t. Games should be fun, ppl should only do what they really wanna do, not do what the game wants you to do.

 

I never had all steam achievements for a single game, and i don't give a sh*t about it. I make my own goals what i want to achieve, i don't let a game tell me what i should do.

 

My current goal in GTAO is to reach level 1000, currently im level 959, it still takes a while but i will reach it.

I mean, it is fun to get trophies, especially after some hours in the game when you are bored trophy hunting gives you something to do. It also feels extremely satisfying to get some awards, especially those challenging (yet fun).

That being said tho, I wish Rockstar will remember to give better rewards, especially for story modes. In Vice City is a no brainer to collect all hidden packages for example because you unlock so much cool sh*t. In online there are some nice unlocks after you complete certain awards or challenges.

Nah, I am ok with completion of main DLC stuff, I don't really care about rewards. But I've completed everything listed in Social Club for story mode and got a Platinum Trophy on PlayStation (same achievements on PC).

playing for many years you need some motivation to continue and every goal to reach is a new stimulus for this reason I like to complete every goal even the most absurd ones

This is a perfectly fine take. For me, I try to get all achievements in games I already enjoy and I see it as a way to "thank the game" for all the fun it game me. But I only go for reasonable achievements and won't waste time with anything too grindy. I'll never get all the achievements in RDR2 because of this. If there were achievements for completing everything in GTAO, I probably wouldn't do them either. Things like the arena war or claw machine have stupid grindy designs. It's not worth even starting them.

I like to get all achievements in some games I like, but not in GTA V for some reason. Those mastermind achievements put me off.

 

Also the Story mode one like getting all Gold medals... No.

 

I did some of the obscure ones though, like uncovering all the map in Story mode, completing the Epsilon quest and getting eaten by a Shark.

Also in Online mode, the Rally achievements, doing every activity in Online, winning every competitive mode once, 15 hours in 1st person and wasting 8 million buying vehicles from some update too. But these were still in my realm. The mastermind ones seem to require a level of commitment I just don't possess.

So you just begin playing a game, dick around doing whatever you want instead of playing the game? Lol no you don't. You play the game as it wants you to.

 

OK so you play the story mode of games and then move on, got it. But don't attack everyone else who enjoys the optional parts of games like trophies or side achievements. They are a legitimate part of the game as well.

 

Your current goal in GTA is rank 1000? Are you playing how the game wants you to, or are you cheating? Actually, if your goal is rank 1000 in GTA online you are pretty much a slave to the game. LOL

Just a point of order from an old-timer. Always remember that what you are taking part in isn't just something accidental and organic. Every company you source what is generally known as "entertainment" from, employ a couple of centuries of what it's advocates call "psychology", but what a wise man would call manipulation.

 

They know these things are a magnet for people with all sorts of neuro-diverse conditions. As I've had to explain on here before to try to excuse some of my less fortunate behaviour that comes with them, I've got Asperger's, ADHD and also, as I recently had shown to me, debilitating OCD. Thanks @Next-Gen Vercettis. We are a dream for makers of stuff like this, hence being on a forum after all these years of this game and playing daily. We found something to like and be good at and stuck around.

 

Nothing wrong with trying to ace anything and get all the plaudits, but do it knowing you are being led around by your nose using your weaknesses as hooks to do it. Hence the old saying since the dawn of gaming...........be in the game, but not of the game. That right there is such a gem of wisdom that in my experience, you should apply it to your lives not just gaming.

 

Choose your battles. I too saw Arena War as the cut off for following this path with this game. It was absurd. I only got level 2000 in the game and 1000 at the car meet because I've never really achieved anything and a big theme of my life has been people taking things from me. So I achieved these things, and now no one can take them away from me.

 

Now I retired with lots of money and finally spend time with my beautiful lady touring San Andreas in open top classic sports cars and cruising on choppers. That's 100 percenting GTA in my books. Always keeping it as your servent and never slipping into letting it become you master. Be in the game, not of the game.

I called it quits after competing the Criminal Mastermind Challenge for the OG heists, I didn't bothered with completing any other big challenges after that, not even the CMM for the doomsday heist, although I did completed it as a host to get Lester's remove wanted level perk for free, that is very handy and the money saved overtime helps a lot with grinding(back when I used to bother with that).

Hmm if you unlock docker, you still need a tractor for everything.
