races:. PvP only or PvE possible?

Quite often the game sends me messages to invite me to races, and the daily objectives usually include at least one.

 

I am not too good at it and on top of that I play with mouse and keyboard which make control that much harder, so I have just been ignoring them as I see no point in participating, losing and getting little income ou of it.

 

But I would not mind giving it a go if it was possible to do it as PvE and the GE was smart enough to adjust the difficulty for mouse/keyboard so that it is a challenge but still I able

 

So, questions:

 

1) Are races PvP only?

 

2) if yes, can those constant invites be disabled - for races and maybe other PvP activities only - so that I still get other non-PvP invites?  If yes, how?

You can only pvp or "race" solo. There is no NPC bots option or whatever you mean by PVE. However for dailies solo will still work (unless it's some street/pursuit races daily, were races are locked to minimum 2 or 4 players (you can "kick" them after race starts however with solo session methods)).

I suspected that much. 

 

So, is it possible to silence those (n player) invites without disabling other stuff, and how? 

(it is really annoying to keep getting invites/messages for things I have no intention on doing)

Wow, you actually get invites on PC? I only see the occasional heist invite.

I think it is NPC invites to 4-player races and activities.  And since I'd never do those with randos... they are nothing but unwanted noise.

You can just not join them. Also I believe if you set notification delay to 2 hours in settings you get invites less frequently?

I never join them, what I am asking is whether it is possible to disable those specific invites and ONLY those invites, while still getting all of the other invites.

Well, there's your problem. Mouse and keyboard really really suck for racing games.

You can get a Logitech F310 controller or similar for US$20 and up. Do that instead.

 

You also might want to make sure the Settings->Camera->Vehicle Camera Height is set to High. For some reason they default to Low, and that makes it much harder to drive for beginners.
