Who is your favorite Grand Theft Auto antagonist?

Based on whatever criteria you want, who is your favorite GTA antagonist?

Billy Grey. Charismatic yet very obnoxious. Couldn't stand him yet he's the character that grabbed my attention whenever he appeared. Basically a villain I loved to hate.

 

If any character has a punchable laugh it's Billy.

Sonny Forelli. The most cruel and heartless one along with Tenpenny, like an antagonist should be. While we don't see him much, Sonny is still hateable af, the way he treats Tommy as his property really makes it satisfying when you finally get to blow his brains out.

Officer Tenpenny is my favorite, its a nasty piece of work and Samuel L. Jackson did a great job with the vocals.

I know its nearly impossible, but I would love to have that guy in our current (or next) GTA.

For me, there's always difference between best and favorite, same case with antagonist. Rascalov might be the best written antagonist, but my personal favorite will be Tenpenny, hillarious over-the-top corrupt guy.

I’ve always loved how his antagonistic traits are slowly revealed rather being presented straight away. 
 

When I first played GTA IV I thought he was just going to be a minor character that would eventually disappear, but the more his story arc with Faustin evolved something about him felt off. It’s a slow burn for sure, but it feels more impactful when his true colours are shown.

 

The fact he’s such a coward and hides behinds others doing the dirty work for him just makes him even more despicable and makes me want to stomp his head in.

 

I feel the reason he works so well is he has no prior relationship with Niko so it’s a clean slate that gets built upon and the same feelings Niko probably feels are likely what we feel too when we feel as duped .

 

Dimitri isn’t just my favourite GTA antagonist, but one of my favourite antagonists in all of gaming. He’s the definition of love to hate IMO.

Maybe, I read the following on a fandom website: "His death is only referenced on an episode of WCTR News that airs once the mission is completed, claiming that Tenpenny's body was mutilated by the local homeless."

So if the body is mutilated, chances are the corpse was in fact a John Doe and Tenpenny has disappeared.

 

Who knows if he will return, would be fun though!

4th - Frank Tenpenny & Eddie Pulaski from GTA SA

5th - Ryder & Big Smoke from GTA SA

6th - Lance Vance from GTA VC

7th - Sgt. Jerry Martinez from GTA VCS

Sonny Forelli was a really good antagonist imo considering that he only appears in like two or three cutscenes in the whole game. Those phone calls to Tommy were one of the best parts of the game.

 

Also Dimitri Rascalov - burning down Roman's apartment in Hove Beach, kidnapping him, blackmailing Niko's friends and threatening him over the phone.
