Super Grunt 281

Lately I think I had an infinite loading screen every time a Diamond Casino heist prep would lead me to the Lost clubhouse (up at Paleto Bay and not Los Santos) , the Vagos HQ or a Securoserv warehouse.

Something must be broken for the preps, too many times in a row I had to punch 2 casino guards for their keycards or the security having a meeting at the same parking lot.

And maybe stealing Gruppe Sechs uniforms at the same underground place, I swear there is another place closer to the Los Santos Customs near the industrial area on the east.

That's reasonable

> $500,000 to buy a taxi

It's stupid but expected for GTA Online

  • It's a Pegasus vehicle
  • You can't customize it
  • You can't even store it

Why is Rockstar so opposed to storing utility vehicles? It's a decent side-job if you want to kill time but you don't even own it

You still can't store a seeded taxi as a personal vehicle (unless there's a glitch I don't know about)

I came back from GTA Online after a long break but I'm done with this game

I'm sick of these mediocre online updates breaking my singleplayer mod setups

i quit doing the taxi jobs because they're so boring and the pay is bad (i enjoy robbing the 24/7 stores more because they can be a challenge).

GTA Hurricane

Auto shop contracts are mostly fun gameplay-wise and pay decent cash and LSCM rep points, but KDJ & Sessanta are why I really wish this game had separate volume sliders for voice-overs and other sound effects like some other games have. That way, I could keep those two silent while still being able to hear gunshots, police sirens, etc.

Thank you @awesomefoot for the workaround even though it only works temporarily.

I've no objections against limited-time discounts and reasonable amounts of limited-time events, but limited-time cars are way too f**king much! Now I'll have to check the entire newswire every week just to make sure that there isn't another limited-time car added.

Good grief, Auto Shop Contracts.

I just love getting shot out of my Tuner car in 2.8ms driving evasively at full speed. That’s if you don’t get black screened, stuck on initializing, stuck on the vehicle selection screen, trapped in an invisible auto shop, trapped on a white spinning circle, spawned all the way across the map without a car when a mission DOES start, or my favorite; simply trolled by people with absolutely no intention of wanting to complete these auto shop jobs. Oh and can’t forget the clown script menu users who feel the need to crash people who join via on-call. Curious mindset. Mods installed, crash ability, makes a 2x event job with open matchmaking, only to crash their game.

Also been witness to several players purposefully blowing up everyone’s cars then terminate the session so far. Pretty encouraging to continue spectating when you happen to get noscoped by Merryweather, watching one guy try to solo the entire thing for 10 minutes only to inevitably get wasted themselves.

I’m sure there’s a perfectly good reason you can’t use an armored Kuruma (or anything else armored). Sure, because then the pinpoint accurate gunfire from the micro smg’s of enemies couldn’t land every single round on your character driving 80mph down the highway through your exposed windows. We’ll simply have the enemies KERS slam into you at rocket speed, and as you crash just have every bullet hit you killing you in less time it takes to open the interaction menu and use some snacks.

Immersed in our riveting gameplay model yet? /s

No f*cking way all this is worth 150/200k. Oh and one extra bitch. Being kicked. Don’t these jobs pay the host more, the more players that join? You telling me the playerbase is more focussed on cherry picking players than getting maximum money? SMH.

I’m guilty of kicking people but in my defense it’s usually because my patience is gone from dealing with your other statements listed above and I forget to close matchmaking.,. I don’t mean any offense to players actually wanting to do it correctly but it gets exhausting… I’ve had rank 1000+ players completely screw them up and they should know better and act better IMO

I'm struggling to think of a way to screw up a contract apart from simply stalling a checkpoint, what have they done to you?

tbh, I've mixed up Titan of a Job with Los Santos Connection. Not even remotely the same but went in rockets blazing. They both take place in a hanger.. lol

Thankfully though, I'm the most shenanigans I can handle and that's enough.

Goofing around trolling and not completing the task…. Taking a ridiculous amount of time to lose the cops like they don’t know the hiding spots…. Dying quickly and repeatedly, which is fine I can still do the mission but I do expect a little more out of a very high ranked player.

I’m patient with lower ranked folks and will do multiple restarts if they are at least putting forth effort. Had to restart Cayo nearly 10 times with a guy but he was new and told me that, I gave him 85% a couple times to get him on his feet.

Arrows to Athens

Why is it that practically every time I play UD with randoms, they always struggle to lose the cops towards the end? You literally lose them quicker than in free mode. What's the issue? Sometimes they'll spend like 10 minutes driving around, and I'm just sitting there thinking to myself "What the f*ck are they doing?". So frustrating.

Same here, I just go on hills closer to the buyer and lose the cops instantly, but all the randoms struggle :sadkek:

I'm on PC though so I just write in chat for them to go on the hills, and most of them then do it.

*sigh* This one is kinda on me but...I don't know. Yesterday my goal was to reach $350 million (had a very good day making around 5 million). I was tired and did one last Auto Shop contract before signing off, at least that was the plan briefly. I like reaching my daily goals. So I get back to the penthouse computer to bank my cash I made for the day and find I'm only $600,000 away from my goal. The angel on one of my shoulders said, "just sign off and go to bed". The dude on the other shoulder said, "It's only $600,000. You have 1.1 million in goods to sell from the nightclub. Should be quick" So I decide to go for the nightclub sale as one last thing.

Tell me why I get a Cargobob sell mission I never seen before. Had to drive the truck all the way up to North Chumash. Get there and I tell myself, "I fly helicopters all the time and got really good at it. What can go wrong? All I have to do is fly it over to that barge. So I get in the Cargobob and hover over the truck grabbing it with the hook and the F#*king Cargobob would not get any altitude like the truck was too heavy or something skimming over the choppy water that somehow destroyed the truck and I lost 1.1 million dollars in 5 seconds! It's not like the truck got submerged WTF! So I went to bed trying very hard not to listen to the voice saying "I Told You to GO TO BED!

i've had npc enemies back in my xbox 360 days (back in about 2014) while i would be doing some survival modes and i would get shot at by enemies that would spawn behind me or next to me about 2 seconds later.

i know how it feels when you goof on a sale, one time i had a nightclub sale (about $400.000 - $500.000) i had to drive my speedo custom to paleto bay, then i had to use a cargobob to deliver my speedo custom to an offshore ship, except i messed up on dropping my speedo custom a little too soon and i destroyed my sale.

i quickly dash boarded out of the game and saved most of my sale (i'm on xbox one).

The Cargobob really struggles to lift the Pounder. I have to hold the throttle down all the way *and* pull back on the stick just to gain a bit of altitude, then it's a struggle to move forward w/o losing altitude.

Thanks for the info! An entire year and I never got this kind of sell mission from the nightclub. And I got it at night too. If I knew that Pounder/Cargobob struggle was a thing, I would've turned off the game immediately when I saw what the mission was. BTW what would happen if you leave the game after launching a sell mission before completing it? Are we stuck once we hit that sell button?

It's not that bad of a mission if you just lift it straight up for a bit to get altitude before moving forward. Just take your time.

Somewhere, out there, there are people who will defend this design and call you bad. All to elevete themselves in some strange form of "badassery" and pretend to be some sort of gangsta. You know it, I know it, we all know it.

The kind of people who only make accounts to defend unnecessary nerfs to certain missions and whatnot and claim "realism".

Which brings me to my B&M. I f*ckin hate "realism" in videogames. I don't want real life logic. If I wanted realism, I'd go outside. "Realism" in videogames only exist to A: inconvenience you, and B: drag out your playing time.

What next? We're gettin ga Food DLC in which we need to eat regularily or we'll just die in missions/heists randomly if we didn't plan perfectly when to eat? We need to take bathroom breaks? Sleep? Excercise?

Just played for around two hours and i was wondering why i am loosing money while doing autoshop customer services, selling nightclub goods, doing some autoshop export cars and not actively spending money on cars or stuff like that. I was close to 12 million - ~11,79 million - and now i am at around 11,6 million after selling 1,2 million nightclub good, doing three autoshop export cars and 4-5 autoshop customer cars. The stash house i've robbed gave no supplies for any business - all are dry and empty. Just to be sure what i am experiencing i've claimed the biker clubhouse passive income which of course got not added to my bank account nor pocket. Good that the G-Cache is finally spawning again after three or four days without any cache at all. What a useless waste of time.

/edit

Fired the game up again just to find out that the customers cars are modified and back in the autoshop, the export car list is empty, the nightclub goods are back in the nightclub, biker clubhouse passive income is back on its shelve and my business supplies are still empty but the stash house and G's cache icons are not back on the map. Spawn location was obviously different to the initial game start too.

Whatever happend the last two hours remains to be mysterious. Don't we usually get a black screen with a message indicating issues with the connection to the R* services?

I mostly agree with your statement about realism, except for the scify sh*t. Like flying bikes and cars. I really can´t stand those. Same goes for the laser weapons. I think they look silly in los scumtos.

Oh yeah I'm not a fan of the scifi crap myself. It breaks the immersion. Sure a one time high tech thing I can stomach as long as it's a bit of  aniche. (Jetpack/Thruster is fun, but it's hardly a gamebreaker). My realism gripe was mostly when it was used an dexcused as a difficulty tweak.

Still just wanted a normal Deluxo with no flying or hovering. They could've charged 1.21 million for it and I would've bought it.

I used to have a code not to kill innocent npcs. Until I found this fact out and experienced exactly what you show in that video too many times. I especially hate the ones in a panic as soon as gunshots go off. So now I have no mercy on the road now. Turn into me I'm shootin up your car. Got in trouble with the cops over these bastards a few times when I was just trying to go home. And I just got myself a Phantom Wedge the other day. Feels good to fling the ones that you know are messing with you. But it hits different when on a vehicle delivery though and I can't shoot at them. Yeah, because of this, I have GTA road rage.

Really loving the island lately. Not only did they make the heist harder and less profitable, my favorite glitch is when I'm going to scope it out and the plane just despawns instead and drops me in the middle of the ocean. AND somehow disables the easy way out option in the interaction menu. Eat a butt, Rockstar.
