You are correct, but there is a difference between doing your job "right" and doing your job.

 

See it as when you get new tiles in your bathroom. There is someone who just does it decent, tiles are on straight, no residue anywhere blah blah.

Then there is the (currently rockstar) handyman, the tiles are slapped on straight, tilted and the tile adhesive is all over the place.

 

Both did their job but there is a big difference in the outcome, right?

 

And yes, its not always up to the devs but I cant blame the suits for everything thats currently wrong with this game.

Yeah, if the game's going to bullsh*t you like that I'm going to bullsh*t the game right back. Armoured Kuruma, here I come! Doesn't work for the first mission, but still.

 

Also, for the last mission I just bullsh*t the mission by driving on the train tracks, but still got to mind when it's too close to the highway.

 

And it just goes to show how inconsistent the difficulty is to the supposed "timeline". Are these missions intended for low leveled players? What with the whole "fReSmEaT" thing Dicky Dax keeps telling us. A moment of silence to any new player thinking these missions aren't too hard compared to Contact Missions. I'd almost say these missions on Hard almost rivals Doomsday heists. Why? Because enemies carry shotguns and assault rifles. And you know what assault rifle means? That's right; Minigun Cheater Glitch the devs deliberately left in.

 

All that pain in those missions for up to.... 27K dollars. WOOOOOOOOW

I'll play GTAVI the same way I started playing GTAO almost three years ago: paying 20 bucks for the full game, on a 75 bucks used Xbox.

 

Hope by then there's enough content to play and enough bugs corrected to make it playable. 

I'll skip the 'Rooftop Rumble/Lester' phase of the game hopefuly, and log in just in time to Lucía's The Contract DLC. Mucha plata, caballero!

Yeah well chances are big the new-gen consoles are on discount / almost outdated by the time GTAVl is coming out so youre closer than the possible truth than I would like to admit :kekw:

Railgun is mostly useless to me as pve player. It's novelty weapon that's gonna end up in my gun storage unequiped never to be used again.i don't know why i was expecting anything different but it takes 3 hits to kill stationary headhunter vip bodyguards which are bullet sponges, i would wager it's even worse against juggernauts while it can destroy civilian cars made out of steel in one shot :kekw:, so that would be the only useful application, dispatching enemy npcs while they are in cars, even then it ates ammo quickly and reload is slow so nade launcer is superior in that regard.

 

Missed opportunity, it should have high damage output against op enemies, one hit kill against headhunter bodyguards and 2 shot against juggies, but that would be to easy and they don't want us having fun, lmg mk2 is way better in dealing against them, same as gl.

 

They way rail gun behaves its peashoter for me...

So i assume First Dose - Off The Rails is gimped to have you with other players, since there is about 5% chance you don't get minigun clipped as you spend a millenia buzzsawing the container doors, and unable to keep the interaction menu open in the off -chance that happens? Nope. To top it off, Two buzzards spamming you with mounted minigun strafe is completely unavoidable since they KEEP ON COMING. Endless Merryweather. Take out both helis? Another is spawning in while you take out that one annoying group hiding behind the trees and bushes, who just so happen to land every shot from their gun magazines on you in about 0.8 seconds from full health. Take out the majority of the Merryweather ground patrols? Two Buzzards are landing all the minigun strafe on you to end your "Hard" run prematurely.

 

You clearly need an accomplice to wipe the area down as you search the carriages, because i've literally attempted this 6 times now and im about done trying anymore. Funnily enough i had the same issue with this buffed enemy "content" over on Red Dead and was one of the reasons my interest has waned. I dont mind difficulty; in many ways it's refreshing, but this is sheer random chance. You can do everything within your power to avoid the challenges set, however it's the recent game modes that handicap you content if your "skill issue" aint up to snuff.

 

EDIT: Ran through with a full team of 4. Rank 1600 dies first at the train crash (shock horror). I aid the 2 guys cracking open containers and all goes smoothly until the Insurgents turn up. Guy driving the Brickade tried off-road and got stuck multiple times, getting shot out as he returned to the road. His low rank passenger takes up the mantle but after a driving a few yards over the bridge by NOOSE HQ he got shot out too. All the while im trying clean the endless Mesa's rolling up on us (successfully mind you). I hop in and just manage to get it back to the underpass outside town.

 

Idk if me not hosting will still reward me these liveries because i haven't seen any alerts. If it's 72 hours i assume they're on delay. Exciting! Not if i have to host this again 😑

I smelt that coming a mile away, not sure how i got out of it on my run, but i bailed from my car, crouched and railgun'ed it just in time while getting shot at. Got PTSD from spawncamp, explosive shelling on old bunker supply runs ig. NPC's can usually "feel" you spending time inside vehicles when they're the target, so give you a few seconds window before the inevitable gimp happens and your botted to the fail screen.

 

Also noticed (with i think one or two here) that vehicles seem to get a debuff in these jobs. I have 100% armor on every vehicle as a rule, but a few shots from those Lost on bikes in the 'Fatal Incusion' mission (meth collection) literally just exploded my vehicle out of thin air. No sticky bomb usage, just the occasional AP shot from my rearview to clear stragglers. Something is seriously tuned up in these jobs to make them annoying as possible. Compared to regular hard contact missions, First Dose are on steroids. I used to have the Heists DLC cars in story mode a few years back and if you rolled them onto their roofs it was insta-explode. Kinda feels the same here. Target vehicles definitely get weakened for the player, but the reaction time and offense from bots it's too OP.

Agreed. It's probably the FOMO (something I've managed to resist up until yesterday!) that got me to buy it, rather than actually having faith that the Railgun will make my toon's life easier. 

 

I've used it once (fired twice) so far, during the 'Make War not Love' mission to take out the Valkyrie, instead of using an RPG. Time will tell whether it'll remain on the weapon wheel or not as it's nothing to write home about.

What in the ever loving f*ck is going on with the Burrito Van in the Biker Bar Resupply? If you close the back doors while driving you'll experience the strangest physics phenomenon in which the back end of the car tries to take off into the god damn sky!

 

And don't ask me why I did a Biker Bar Resupply! I was bored!

Getting REALLY f*cking tired of running around doing my own thing just to get a banner WAREHOUSE RAID FAILED when I wasn't even f*cking alerted int he first place!

 

Probably time for a break from GTA since they've gone tantric with the f*cking drip feed. At this rate it's going to be 2026 by the time they release the Boulevard.

Ah, it wasn't just me then! 

I did my first resupply ever the other day (I wandered into the clubhouse to reorganise my mounts, and saw a prompt for resupplying the bar) and the van's back end does indeed want to play Broomstick Mk2. 

It seemed to resolve itself after both rear doors had fallen off (spontaneously and simultaneously, I might add!), but it was weird.

For a gun with no lock on and the need to reload after each shot, the range on the rail gun is laughably short. They should have allowed it to lock on to NPCs like the one from SP/Gunrunning resupply mission.. it’s kind of a meme now, like the stun gun and Perico pistol.

I find it to be useless for the most part, honestly. The only "use" I can somewhat see for it is one-shotting vehicles with enemy occupants during missions, but I can just use my explosive sniper for that, and that has more range and ammo. Quite a disappointment.

Public session? Try entering your Nightclub in passive mode to avoid getting this mission. For me, it only gives bouncer missions in passive mode.

Yeah I know and thank you for the reminder, but its actually something fun I used to enjoy in freeroam; driving drunks to the hospital, home or rehab :sadkek:

Didnt even mind when I got blown up 1 out of 10 times, it was a thrill to do this in a public session filled with tanks, boreadors and snobpressors.

 

Believe me, when some jerk tries to blow you up and you make a curb carpet out of him with the good ole limo - its an adrenaline rush with no equal.

I have a prediction that they’re going to release the rest of the cars and Last Dose all when the second part drops as if it truly was a “two-part” update. That’s the only logical explanation I could understand for them not releasing sh*t for 3 weeks.

The trick is to open all of the containers BEFORE you grab any of the goodies. The reinforcements only spawn when you grab the contents. It's fairly easy if you open all of the containers and kill the few enemies that are there, then run back to the first container and start grabbing the contents. The helicopters won't get to you (and there will be two of them) until about the time you get to the last container. Makes it a bunch easier. To save time the contents are always in the same containers: rear container, rear container, both containers, and rear container.

Don't use the road. Use the train tracks to drive all the way to the city. They will take you near the hide out with a lot less trouble.

It wasn't me driving until last minute and the randoms were heading up to Land Act Dam, the complete opposite direction to the tracks, by which point i didn't have access to when everyone died, but future runs i shall be doing just that. I do take that route on Cargo Ship Prison Break runs for the casco so thanks for reminding me!

 

@Gaffa I take what i said back yesterday; Did the same mission earlier and the second the Valkyrie popped up from behind the rocks it explosive cannoned minigunned me, at full health and already hidden behind cover of one of the huts as it showed. Didn't stand a chance unless i'd of brought my Insurgent, which i assume also gets a limited window of being thrown around like a rag doll until you land a sufficient amount of bullets on it (if at all, and the game doesn't arbitrarily decide to use the explosive cannon as agressively as Merryweather does - jurys still out on that). Lesson learned and corrected! I guess Hard mode truly is Hard now, huh? lol

 

EDIT: TIL The Valkyrie has no explosive cannon. So i was 1HK'd by the mounted minigun guys on the side. That makes getting insta-destroyed by 1 strafe of the Valkyrie inside of a vehicle even more pathetic and practically proves the player vehicle nerf.

I was curious about this since the Auto shop Merryweather job requires you to refer to the codes Sessanta sends, so assumed the containers for First Dose would just be randomized the same way. I also doubt the majority of the playerbase knows this, so might be a while until folks realize which ones they're always in. I also don't think the majority of the playerbase would realize opening all containers FIRST would stop more enemies from coming in. Usually with randoms it's "follow task on screen (if you're lucky)". As a result i like to run defense if i have others with me, as when those roles are reversed, i get a bullet in the back and the inevitable "brooooo" in chat. Depth perception is NO LONGER this playerbases strong suit, so i favor running back for others. When i stick my neck out im first to go, when i step in another persons vehicle, im first to go.. but it's always my fault because somehow the actions of another person are on me. I'm infinitely more comfortable taking the heat off other players not as versed in the finery of games programming. First Dose seems to have taken the place of Dispatch and Repo lately so at least this is something different being rotated into the PvE side of things... however irritating. Thanks for the easy explanation.

Looks like you "hit" whatever you were using as cover to your right. It was too close for the missile's proximity fuse.

These train containers have some textureless walls when you are standing near the doors. Even if this on the other end of it, probably same applies.

Edit: Game went to eternal cloud, so I shut down the game after a while.

Was furnishing my penthouse for the first time, I lost 90% of the furnishing progress.

Looks like another thing I can forget about doing, options to keep myself entertained are running out :kekw:

 

R* sure knows how to keep people busy (and annoyed)
