Locking hard mode behind dripfeed has to be bottom of the barrel in terms of a "massive multi-part update" but don't tell the fanboys on the subreddit that because they'll call you "ungrateful" :shillkek:

Is it just me, or does it feel like R* doesnt want us to play anymore?

I mean, who in their right mind looks at a hardmode for 6 missions and a glorified mobile ammunation and thinks to themself "Yeah thats gonna keep players entertained for a whole week."

We're lucky if we get ANY dripfeed content some weeks.

Like, honestly i'm starting to fall off playing because the lack of new content week to week is getting boring.

If they wanted to extend the dripfeed to keep players "engaged" this ain't it fam...

Yeah but why pay for it when you can get paid for it? 🤔

To get the popularity missions you do need some popularity in the nightclub. I've seen it work with as little as 5% popularity. If you have no popularity you can swap the DJ once for $10k to get 10% popularity then do the passive mode glitch to throw out the guy.

After seeing today's "update", I think it's fair to say that the experienced developers are all working on GTA6 now and that GTA5 is left for the amateur developers in order to gain some experience(s). Too bad it had to be at the expense of the playerbase . . .

I've always felt it was interns working on GTAO. It was ever the main team then that doesn't bode well for the next game.

It's like the worst constipation ever where no matter how hard you try to drop the deuce all that comes out are small bits of sh*t. Speaking of which, why doesn't Dax have a brother named Lax? Because this dripfeed could really use some f*cking lax right now!

Spoiler

This was a really sh*tty post, I'm sorry.

Sometimes I wonder, what if there had been no GTA 6 leak. From what we saw, it doesn't look like Rockstar was ready to announce anything yet.

They only announce games when they are about to release.

I hope so.

Definitely the interns. The main team only made the base game with the story mode.

Also, GTA 6 might just be the first GTA game without Lazlow.

Why is hitting a jet with explosive rounds so hard compared to regular rounds? I can get hits on a jet easily with extended ammo, for example, but if I use explosive rounds, I have to almost shoot in front of the jet in order to land a hit, like there's a delay or something. It seems like explosive rounds travel slower in the air or something? I can't quite put my finger on it. Like, even though I hit the jet dead on, it does no damage to it, as if it missed or went through the jet. It's so weird and frustrating. It makes taking out jets much more difficult than it needs to be.

I have learned to aim-off in front with the explosive sniper when shooting it at jets and Oppressors. It becomes second nature after a while.

First mission on First Dose on Hard is certainly a step up. AI feels more aggressive and impossibly accurate when blind firing as usual.

the funniest thing is that the email literally tells you to go "Visit the Rockstar Newswire for more information."

the one day you're told in game to go to the newswire for more info... we get no newswire, or at least extremely delayed one. i swear ever since the dlc released this company has been getting even goofier and goofier :prismkek:

Great, so I was doing that mission where you need to blow up the hippie vans. I was also driving a hippie van; I blow one up with a sticky bomb, and the game crashes.

Great stuff Rockstar, keep this up 👏

The game keeps crashing frequently anyway. I don't think what you're driving makes any difference.

Today I only experienced crashes from this, well and apart from a modder.

The quality of this game is snowballing backwards, quite a shame.

It crossed my mind that I maybe need to wait for a week or 2 when GTAVl comes out before I buy it, just to make sure its not such a low standard as this stuff is.

I think the ones working on the GTAO team have a Quiet-quitter mentality; do your absolute minimum, give no f*cks.

It shows on so many parts now, hard to ignore.

Ahh, didn't know that. I must admit, when the Nightclub churns out $50,000 every 48 minutes and "seems" to have a more reliable timer than the Arcade and Agency does, its usually one I've kept on top of so never had the pop drop that low before. Don't really intend to to be honest, free money is always nice and if I'm returning there after dropping off Yohan's stuff, killing two birds with one stone is ideal.

Yeah but I don't even understand this thinking. Today's "update" is literally changing some 0's to 1's (aka turning false values to true to enable them) and changing some numbers from 1 to 1.5 or 0 to 20 or whatever, in terms of applying a 1.5x bonus for missions and giving 20% discounts or whatever.

I really don't see how they're "getting experience" by doing that stuff. Anyone on this forum could do that job even with basic computer experience, never mind any coding experience etc.

If you buy a new Nightclub and change locations, your popularity drops to zero. You also need to sell all your whse stock first.

Interesting, cheers. Do upgrades and technicians need to be re-purchased if you move the Nightclub or do those things remain no matter where and when you move?

Might be 1 or 2 months then, usually by that time YT is already full with all the reviews!

Okay, so that was mildly annoying. But to add insult to injury, this is where the vehicle spawns after restarting (at checkpoint) and requesting it:-

What's worse with this system, is if you were to die outside of your vehicle and then start again at the checkpoint, your vehicle WILL be spawned on the little dirt track next to you.
The logic in this game is very obviously and very quickly finding the nearest exit and jumping ship.

Off topic but this whole quite quitting thing is bullsh*t. Doing your job to the letter of whats in your jobdescription aint quite quitting. Its doing you fracking job.

No point in working more for the same pay. Especially not when the place you work for will "crunch you to death" in order to make their products/projects deadline.

The way stuff gets released aint up to the devs. Its up to the suits who love to make big profit with little investment.

Storytime! 🙏

So I thought I'd start my challenge to 600 Bunker resupply missions in the hopes of getting the special tattoo next year... well this year.

It was nice to see Rockstar added new source missions for the Bunker (with The Criminal Enterprises), however, my delight and surprise was very quickly turned around and cut short. I really, really hope the development teams working on GTA VI are going to allow players to figure out their own way of doing stuff, and not forcing players to do A, B and C before finally they're able to get the objective - that linear way of game / mission design has been criticized heavily by the games' players for years now.

The mission I was doing was okay, even if perhaps a little drawn out, but of course something just has to happen, doesn't it?
You're supposed to follow the plane in the Longfin (because signalling the aircraft via flare gun and then calling your Oppressor or Helicopter or something wasn't thought about by the devs... except it was because they're forcing stuff) and collect packages dropped by a Titan.
Then, once you've collected the three packages, you're then to boat all the way to the top left of the map (? - this is the first and only time doing the mission, could be other locations) to offload the packages into a van, which only then you can use to transport your supplies back to the Bunker.

Well, that didn't go so well...

Okay, bad driver, fine I get it. I'll hold my hands up when I need to. Anyway... I didn't consider using a Cargobob to potentially airlift the Longfin back onto the water, because my thinking was that if the Up-N-Atomizer couldn't shift it, and if 15+ grenades won't destroy it, the Longfin is obviously "coded specifically differently" for this mission.

Why? KISS, Rockstar, KISS. Keep It Stupid Simple. Boat wouldn't even blow up on its own due to being beached. So that time was wasted and a new supply run having to be done in a new session.

Yummy for my tummy!

First Dose 6 on hard difficulty is INSANITY. Insta-killing enemies and Insurgent Pick-Up that can withstand 5-6 rockets when you get in the Brickade. Really, C*?
