I just got attacked by a god mode user because I didn't let them copy my Space Monkey Blista at the car meet without them giving a vehicle in return, I even tried to explain that I'll only allow others to copy it if the person will allow me to copy a classic or metallic black Sovereign off them. I also offered to allow them to copy one of my other rare vehicles, but they refused.

 

The main thing here that makes me mad is that they went out of their way to get god mode to go after me over not being able to copy my car, even after I offered a different vehicle for them.

event weeks do tend to improve when there's no dripfeed tbh

same kinda deal with the corsita, none of the front bumpers match the skirts and all of the skirts stick out miles from the car.

If you use custom front and rear bumpers, the stock sideskirts are on the same level like them, and it looks okay.

It feels like half of the cars in this update have recycled parts from other vehicles.. Bought Corsita the other day, just wtf? And I love it how for Ruiner they didn't bother to design out original vents for custom hoods. That part where hood is crossing leftover vents looks just ridiculous.

Whats up with the PC version recently? I know modders have always been a thing, but I didn't really see them that often. Even then, usually if I saw one in freeroam they would just spawn in a bunch of dripfeed vehicles and some money, and were usually fairly nice. I haven't really played recently, just hopped back on for the recent update and it seems like its completely out of control now? Every lobby I go into has some bot spamming discord links and advertising mod menus or whatever, there are people spawning cages on top of everyone, teleporting to people and blowing them up, etc. Even had a guy teleport himself into my car just to f*ck with my customization. I can't even escape it while joining jobs. When I go into races there are always at least 2 modders that just jump to each checkpoint or kick everyone out of their cars. I don't think it used to be this bad, did it? Or maybe I was just lucky to not see many of the dickhead ones up until this point?

To me the whole car looks like a bad anime rendition of a Trans Am WS6 drawn by someone who has never seen one in real life. Hard pass for me.

It's been this bad since many years. You probably were just lucky not encountering the worst modders yet.

 

Freeroam session is a no go, you got god mode ppl, that teleport around, spawning sh*t, attack and annoy you for no reason, just to get a laugh.

Racing is a no go too, there are ppl with speedhack, or teleporters or worse. There are 10 second worldrecords for the new Cayo Perico races already of course, it only took 2 days to update the stats, and it doesn't matter if these ppl get reported, they will never get banned, because they can just block all reports, and make it like they never been reported in the first place. If you try to report them, they stalk you from session to session and make your game crash.

 

It just isn't fun to play with randoms at all, there were times in the past where there were like no modmenus for like 2 weeks, but then the modders were all over the game again. Im just glad we can do everything in friends and invite only sessions now, now we can avoid the public cess pool hacker infested sh*t sessions.

I was GONNA post about how f*cking stupid this mission is. I was gonna say something about how I want to punch whoever decided that "Destroy the helicopter" was a great object when the thing was nigh indestructible and you couldn't even lock on to it anyway. I was gonna talk about how I just yeeted explosives into it, and the pilot even took off and did some crazy spinny flippy shenanigans like the copter was ragdolling off the yacht and STILL managed to land it. I was gonna say that I flew it back even though it took three rockets and several heavy sniper rounds and was on FIRE. 

But literally after I hit F12 to get this shot, the engine instantly died so I had to fight my way off that mountain under fire from constantly spawning helicopters. Luckily they were the mentally handicapped and unarmed varieties so it was only passengers shooting at me. 

I am once again complaining about how the gimped AI utterly ruins this entire update content from what could have been an AMAZING GTA addition.

Dripfeed doesn't really keep the players playing the game, for a some ppl it actually is the other way around, some ppl just wait until the Dripfeed is over and then hop into the game again. It's these kind of ppl that wait until all episodes of a series aired to binge watch it. Or gamers that want all DLC's already in the game the first time they play it. Some ppl just wait for GOTY and this at a reduced price.

 

Edit: Also some ppl might have the real counterpart IRL of some cars in the game, they would probably play the game much longer and more often, if they could drive their real life cars ingame. And if that is in the dripfeed, they just wait until it's released. Im pretty sure ppl would already play the game longer, if they just release the M16 already. Some ppl waited years for this iconic weapon, it's a classic that was in so many GTA games already. Why put a weapon in the dripfeed, it's just complete nonsense.

You are 100% correct.  I never said drip feed was the only way to keep people engaged or even the best way.  A new DLC released each week would be another way.  Drip feed is a compromise.  I totally get why people hate it, I do too.  But I also know if everything was released day one, many would buy everything up then disappear until next DLC drops.  So it isn’t complete nonsense as you say, just a lazy ploy to keep people engaged (any of your ideas are better).

I was doing the new Death Bike MC Clubhouse mission and there is a "solid object" HALFWAY UP THE STAIRCASE!!! I couldn't shoot the guy at the top of the stairs because my shots kept hitting "nothing" halfway up. You could see the bullet impacts on "nothing" from the bottom, but couldn't see them from the top of the stairs.

Did a Yohan mission today that was a Benson. Getting into the truck as soon as the scuffed animation finished I went to drive off and was standing inside the cab clipping through. I tried running, jumping and climbing but none of that worked so I Up-n-Atomized myself out. Then the gang cars came and shot me to death as I was going through the stand up animation.

 

I was cussing like a soldier for a minute but then started laughing at the absurdity of it.

I can't even drive down the street without every single polygon disappearing and the game freezing for 5 seconds. $8+ billion in revenue and this is what we get? I've suggested it before but someone needs to throw a little money into developing the exact same game with a focus on actually making it work. This stupid company needs a competitor to test their complacency.

 

I hate getting mad like that one user we all know who complains constantly and punches his bed or pillows or whatever (  ), but it's ridiculous that the game doesn't even function at this point.

Honestly I think it's too late for a GTA competitor. No other company is willing to support a game for as long as Rockstar has supported GTA, and even if they were their game would be labelled a "GTA Clone" and laughed off the stage.

racing in this game is so boring, rockstar only lets you do the same 7 boring races out of the hundreds in the game. otherwise good luck finding people to play with.

They have broken so much with this dlc.......

frame drops, lag, builds/roads just popping in and out the world. sh*t every other flipping MMO out there will flipping fix there sh*t as needed when they drop a new xpac but not R*. It will be another 10 or more months before they fix as little as they can from this dlc in the next dlc while still breaking stuff from a different dlc and something in the new dlc......

Yeah this can be annoying. I feel like game should just automatically remove player from queue to that specific lobby that you get kicked from.

I hate/love that I still have to glitch pearl on a matte. I LOVE pearl on matte. The color affect, to me, is just so much more eye popping than regular metallic that I don't even bother painting vehicles anything but matte anymore. I just wish I didn't have to glitch it and wish it had more colors.

I hate that we have to glitch to get *anything* on our cars. Benny's wheels and coloured stock wheels are just things that should be available from lsc and benny's.
