I know I'm not the only one that has this problem. That problem we all sometimes have where you do some inputs and your toon does exactly not what those inputs were. Like swimming. Swimming is just one of those f*cky things. Or maybe you get something else weird. Like maybe, 99% of the time, your toon wants to roll when you tap the jump button while aiming when next to a wall but not facing it, but then that 1% of the time when the other side of that wall is lots of angry bullets, chattering in swears and slurs, chomping at the bit to be the first one to enter your face region, your toon just HAS to climb that wall. Absolute priority. Or maybe it's not a wall, maybe it's a car door, and you're trying to get out of range of some player gunfire or move into a firing position to dump death into their windshield as they pump 1 round per magazine of an auto pistol into your left asscheek while spraying at you. And you realize this is an easy fight to win. I mean, easy enough if your toon would quit climbing the door of the car that's wide open, well after you've decided that that wasn't going to work at all and just stopped pushing the jump button. Just gotta climb that door. Would have been funny if it wasn't such an easy win otherwise....

Well I've got a NEW instance that makes me want to reach into the game, grab my GTA version of myself, and slap his teeth across the room.

As soon as you enter the Merryweather sub for the Cayo setup, if you bank right into that room, there's a fun little ladder. Since 66% of the jammer spawns are somewhere down there, one of them practically at the base of the ladder, you generally have a much easier and faster time of going through this setup if you go that way. The first room is a little spicy, but it and impossible aren't even in the same galaxy, so it behooves you to go that way. Until you want to go back up the ladder. And you get to the top of the ladder. And you have to go around the ladder. And despite your best efforts, if you don't get very, very intimate with the wall, your toon as going to be going back down that ladder. And then back up it. And probably back down it again. It's a little thing, and wastes barely seconds of time. But if my toon magnets onto it more than once, I have to remind myself that peripherals aren't cheap so I don't clutch mine into dust in frustration.

I think this one pisses me off the most because almost every other ladder seems to want to repel you from it if you're climbing down it from the top and I've failed missions numerous times because the only way down was ladder or express, the latter actually being an express trip to mission failure.

How one manage to complain about dat ladder when the real deal is the guy who is sometimes down there with a line of sight on said ladder, on the top of rolling or not rolling when going down.

I still don't know a concrete method to prevent rolling but it's outright impossible to survive at times.

I'm having a strange day of GTA.  Decided to do another Perico heist to get the funds for the helicopter.  So, I did the Intel mission, no problem.  Then I did the Kosatka mission... and was instantly killed by every shot the enemies took, often through walls.  5 or 6 deaths on that one... and it was just the beginning.  Every mission was the same thing, every single shot was a oneshot kill, no way to prevent it.  I even got oneshotted when hit in the HAND, firing past a wall... this, from full health and superheavy armour.  I have to think it actually was a headshot, which meant it came through the wall I was behind.

Several guards have shotguns, the others use a rifle.

And head hits from NPCs do nothing special.

The hagar is more of a play thing then a money maker. You have access to some pretty neat things for other money makers like CEO/VIP missions, double money on contact missions and so on.

But the number one reason for a hager is to safety fly over the air base lol.

I've been wondering about this. Does a bullet proof helmet give you any extra protection against NPCs?

List of reasons to own the hangar in order of importance:

  1. Fly over Zancudo
  2. Spawn aircraft in LSIA, if you don't have Zancudo
  3. For Nightclub stock
  4. Stop calls from Ron about buying the hangar
  5. Owning personal aircraft
  6. Fill and sell the hangar once to unlock trade prices
  7. Fill the hangar to have some cool props in the hangar
  8. ???
  9. And finally, to run the business for profit

Actually, I'm kind of glad the hangar isn't a good business. Imagine if every public session had 10 CEOs flying around in weaponized jets doing missions and griefing because they just flew over you in the aforementioned jet. It would've been chaos. We would've had a whole different set of B&M about it.

Airfreight Cargo was probably th ebusiness Rockstar made the damndest to make sure it would be a multipayer business. Going solo? 1 crate per source. Selling? Here let us give you as many planes/copters as possible oh and here's the Mogul which dies super quickly after it starts smoking.

Also, the Escort the Titan crate source is almost hilarious how slowly it flies.

I know the Cayo heist should be easy.  I do exactly as people suggest, but it never works out, something somewhere always goes wrong.

You should try the other way. Get a Longfin and start your heist in the North Dock. There is almost always easy to get guards outfit. As soon as you change clothes, you can ignore the guards and CCTVs. Ordinary guards will see you only if you stand in their vision cone for 4-5 seconds. CCTVs don't see you at all, but they see guard's corpses. There are three secondary loot points in the North Dock. (Garage gate with a lever will open solo if you arrived there on Longfin.)
So you can fill the bag, find grappling hook, when take any transport and safely drive to compound. There you will have to kill only three red guards (maybe someone else if the reds don't have the keys) and avoid the Juggernaut. Then you come out through central gate, grab the bike and jump into the sea.

I do this route in 10 minutes. You can do it leisurely without shooting, with a pistol grip only.

That's what they invented grenades for.

Game stole 20k from me. My car was impounded, so naturally I stole it back, parked it in my garage, modified a Benny's vehicle, found out it was destroyed. I do a contact mission to make myself feel better and my character gets stuck in an animation loop because they placed a trigger in a small space.

I really f*cking hate this game lemme tell ya.

Face opposite the ladder. Aim dead ahead. Side step into the hole. Release all movement inputs. You should drop straight down with no roll. Never been an issue for me.

Captain Shotgun to the right that sometimes brrts you is a bigger threat.

You know what's really awesome fun thing to do? Anything that involves flying aircraft with randoms.

R* did a good job making it the multiplayer business. It actually makes good money per hour for a host with a full crew of helpers. The problem is that the helpers get paid jack and sh*t. There is no incentive to help anyone with this business. It's not even worth helping friends.

All I wanted from this latest update was to be able to store the FIB Buffalo and the FIB Granger as personal vehicles, but eh, no dice. 👎🏻

Didn't do it this way, but I did do it again tonight.  Things went MUCH more smoothly, only took around a dozen tries, and the fails were either my own urge to explore or wierd glitchyness (on one occasion, a bad guy's head slid sideways OFF his body to avoid my shots...).  Still, managed it without TOO much trouble.

The guy is not always at the same position, sometimes next to the other near the body armor crate (but still with a line of sight) , sometimes actually running into the doorway as you go down or away, doing nothing useful.

Also the other guy, sometimes they are 2, 2x dice roll I say.

We need to know how the game handle that 'protection' and head hits before.

You could also start at the main dock or airport if you've got good loot and uniforms there, then head to the compound and find codes by killing guard NPCs (with the shotgun). Once you start to get the hang of the heist you can try some of the other approach vehicles. Another note: when doing double kills (two guards facing eachother), use the shotgun to headshot one and then kill the other as quickly as possible, of course make sure you have a full clip before doing this.

I usually don't kill anyone if I can avoid it, because many of them seem to be telepathically linked... you kill someone, completely out of sight of everyone and everything... and it still sets off the alarms.

Yes they are linked telepathically, that is why you always have to kill them with a headshot, or stab them in the back with kill animation with a knife. If you shoot them in the neck, boom everybody is alerted. The stealth system in this game is just ridiculous. Even the stealth system in Far Cry is much better.

The stealth system in RDR2 is the same garbage.

I'm glad I could make it easier for you. One day you will laugh, remembering the "impossibly difficult Cayo Perico". 😆

Yes, glitches annoy everyone. If you have weak hardware, then all problems increase on the island.

Shoot only single and only in the head. No one's cones of vision should cross. If the guards can't see each other, but their vision cones is crossing, dont shoot.

If you need to kill two guards, go around them so that their heads are in a row or close. Now fire a one short burst. A long burst can be heard.

In fact, you have more than a one second before the second guard raises the alarm. He must bend down, straighten up, throw up his weapon and only with his first shot the alarm raises.

This probably won't work 99% of the time. (With shotgun) Headshot 1 guard, then lock on to the other and shoot him until he dies. Shouldn't be any trouble as long as you can see them both clearly and have a full clip.

I just joined a Pac Standard finale where someone with a mod menu skipped literally 99% of the heist.

We went from

enter bank -> skip to exit bank -> skip to getaway cutscene on Dinghy

Elite time? 1:14.

Like what's the point of playing the game if you're going to cheat and skip the main content?

Because Rockstar has been stepping up their game to detect modded money.

It is getting increasingly difficult to manipulate people's bank balance with a mod menu.

However, mod menus are still free to spawn stuff, "kill" enemy npcs, give you godmode, and skip mission triggers (or finish races in record time) Rockstar isn't good at detecting that.

So nowadays cheaters who want money will cheat their way through missions to get paid.

This is what I do too. And you can get close if you approach from the side. However, I think it's just a console n00b trick that PC master race is too free aim to be able to do.

Weird that a menu user would mess with old heists. It’s much easier to just do the MC businesses for money. Buy supplies and wait for it to fill up. Doesn’t matter what vehicle the sales use because teleporting makes it a non issue. For heists it’s a quick CP with. Panther statue, teleport and low collision to just walk through walls and elevators.

The two main menus have the ability to handle all businesses without the owner ever touching them.

Most sessions today have more menu users than non.

Further to the discussion above about the way the characters don't respond to controls. Several times in both the UD and Agency stuff I've been in alleys and buildings and get into cover and can't fire my weapon. It's not the thing that happens sometimes where there is some obvious obstacle that is allowing you to aim but not fire, I know that happens sometimes against walls with pipes, or in skips with a hook on the rim etc, anything to block the line of fire. But I've got shredded a few times because I'm spamming aim and fire and it just wouldn't respond for seemingly no reason.

To my B&M -

On Xbox I loaded into a public session and there was a guy there with his crew emblem as the original Nazi flag, right down to the perfectly colour matched red background. With the white circle in the middle and black swastika rotated 45 degrees. Then the next morning I loaded into another public session and there was a guy wearing the full head to toe bigfoot costume from the end of Story Mode.

If I hadn't been so toasted, I would have stuck the Israel flag on my yacht and sent the Nazi an invite lol.

nah, 5 headshots with a silenced shotgun is the only way to do it these days. used to be a one-shot but they buffed it halfway through the tuners dripfeed.

You mean the Juggernaught on Cayo Perico? On PC....

Kiiiind of yeah, but you need to b ea little clever about it. You'll need the loadout that gives you the Sticky Bomb, then equip said bomb and casually walk up behind him and mash the melee button. If done right (make sure you stand somewhat still or your character might accidentalyl run into and bump into him) you'll smack him with your sticky bomb. Now QUICKLY bring out your silenced rifle and shoot until he dies. He should die quickly enough.

But he's relatively easy to sneak past.

IF you refer to the ones in the ULP mission Cleanup just fill the with bullets, lol.
