It's a standard escort mission with the purpose of the respawning helicopters being things to shoot at, either they have an incredibly low damage output and/or they take forever to start shooting. The Titan is extra tough also.

Probably both because I had one stuck against the Titan (it spawned ahead) and it slowly ate hitpoints away and I had to shoot a missile as a result, the bar only went into the red from that grinding.

You wouldn't have a much easier time with a jet as the respawnig helicopters cannot be locked on, things like the Annihilator are the best overall so the Mogul isn't a bad pick.

Get good it's that simple, take aim with the Mogul and shoot the tail rotor so they only vanish and get replaced when they crash, as alternative just prepare a Buzzard/Annihilator to avoid the issue with most of the planes.

Can't afford anything like that.  I have about 500k left now.  I've been trying to do the Perico heist again for about 9 hours, but just keep getting killed over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over.

Yeah, a MkII or a Buzzard makes most of those missions pretty easy.

But, I also mostly don't do air cargo missions because they are stupid and annoying even when they are easy.

The cargo is falling in the sky... somewhere.  I fly around and around and around, up, down, all over... saw it pass by once or twice, no way to get to it, it was invisible until I was actually passing it.  Finally, the thing hits the ground, I clip a tree while circling trying to catch it, and fall on the ground.

This is the biggest reason why plane based missions are terrible. At some point you have to land to grab the objective. Which isn't easy to do in this game. And if you get shot down you have problems getting to a new vehicle while the flying bad guys just keep killing you over and over again.

I'm forced to abandon the plane, but the Titan is destroyed before I can parachute to the ground and grab some other plane.

I've never had the Titan shot down. I would literally park my Buzzard on the Titan and wait. The following bad guys never shot it down. I wonder if they start doing more damage if you're not close to the Titan. (And yes, it is unlimited bad guys. Very bad mission design.)

Unlimited wouldn't be so bad if there was a break between spawns.  As it is, they just instantly, magically appear right behind the Titan again, so it's as if you hadn't shot anything down.

Also, something weird going on in the Casino.  Decided to play some blackjack, so I made my usual 1000 chip bets... and lost EVERY hand.  Went through 37k in chips (which is what I started with), and lost EVERY hand.

I'd draw 20, dealer gets 21.

I'd draw 18, dealer gets 19.

I'd draw 12, get a hit, ALWAYS 10 card and bust.

I even got 11 3 times, doubled down and lost each time with 12.

There was even a run where the dealer got 21 10 times in a row.  Very weird.

There is the right tool for every job. If i would ever do Hangar missions again, and i would have to protect the Titan, i would just use a Hydra, and fly very slowly next to the Titan in vertical mode. With it's explosive MG you can mostly kill all choppers while they spawn, they don't even get a chance to move anywhere.

And if you try to win money in the Casino, just bet on horse races. Blackjack is just rigged man.

Tried another hangar mission, to fly a stunt plane through bridges and "knife fights," whatever the heck THOSE are.  The plane it provides is unbelievably twitchy, the SLIGHTEST movement of the mouse and the thing flips out... and that's with sensitivity at 0.  Made it nearly impossible to do... and it required that I do SO many, just FINDING them was hard, it was night time by the time I found some to do, and by then it was impossible to see lamp posts, communication towers and anything else nearby.  That, in addition to the nearly uncontrollable plane... well, it was a mission that might have been a lot of fun WITH A JOYSTICK.  As it was, by the time I finished it, having gone through 11 planes doing it, I had about 42 seconds to get from the city center to Procopio beach, literally as far away as it was possible for the cargo thing to be.  I assume I was supposed to go all the way there, then all the way back to Zancudo in those 42 seconds.  What brilliant game design.

you shouldn't even be getting shot at if you're doing it right.

first, pick the aggressor weapon loadout with suppressors. enter the compound through the drainage pipe using the kosatka as your approach vehicle.

getting through the compound is pretty easy, the only kills you need to do are the 4 guards around the main office, optionally the guard walking around the courtyard, then head up to the office and get the safe (and any paintings).

then, go back down from the office and down to the gates that lead to the basement. if you have the keys (99% of the time one of the guards you've already killed will have dropped them) then go to the keypad, do the hack, and take the primary target.

if your loot bag is full, take out the first guy you see and steal his bike. drive past el rubio's helicopter and across the next field, then jump off the island and swim towards the trench.

if you your loot bag is empty or half empty, go to the main dock and take secondaries from there. you'll have to kill some guards, but since you've got the shotgun that shouldn't be too hard. once your bag is full, make sure no guards are watching the waterway, take a boat and escape.

obviously this isn't a great guide since i can't visualise the heist over a text post, so i recommend searching up a solo guide on youtube. if you do things right, you should be able to get the elite challenge pretty easily.

Forced to join a public session when switching characters. Not sure how they could have missed this when giving us the ability to choose a session type when manually changing sessions while in one.

Maybe it's just on my end but it takes so long that despite the screen not freezing it seems like it's never going to load in. Just an endless kill feed.

EDIT: At this point I'd be happy if it forced me back into SP when swapping characters so I have to pick a session type myself again.

If i remember correctly all you gotta do in that one, is to fly upside down low above the ground, and the bar fills up pretty fast, there is no need to fly under bridges or between tight spots and stuff.

Whenever i read something from you, you play everything completly wrong. It's like you act stupid on purpose, just to come here and bitch and moan about it.

I just can't believe that somebody have problems with Cayo Perico. One... three... ok FIVE times you can fail this heist, if you in principle don't watch any guides and don't listen to anyone's advices. I also did everything myself, but it gave me pleasure and did not cause anger or irritation.

In the end, everyone has their own way of passing, their own route and the raid to the island becomes easier than some contact missions. Just don't raise the alarm, grab and run. You can finish this job without a single shot. What else could be easier?

Every post you make is the same thing, lol. You have got to be the worst player in this game. You should live stream because people from all around the planet would watch you for the laughs. You are THAT random that everyone hates to try and do any mission/heist with. Watch some damn videos and for once pay attention to the advice that people are giving you and you to can grind the hell out of CPH and have enough money that you don't have to f*ck around with the horrible sh*t like Hangar missions that everyone tells you not to waste time on.

If you think a joystick would help you with flying then buy a controller and be done with it. I use one because it's what I know from decades of console use.

For that Titan mission, I weirdly use a Buzzard. I specifically target the enemies' tail rotors with my guns and let them spin out and crash slowly and unavoidably. Very satisfying.

The new ones only spawn when the old ones hit the ground, so this way you get less enemies overall.

For normal people I recommend Hydra/Savage. Or just use Buzzard/Sparrow missiles.

If you don't have either of those, I recommend you borrow a Lazer. It can be done. Also, this is why I recommend Fort Zancudo over LSIA.

I can not recommend a Deluxo or Oppressor MK2 for this one, because you will run out of missiles.

And generally for most of these missions: A Lazer/Hydra or personal helicopter is almost always better than the provided aircraft.

I love the Air Freight Protect the Titan Mission. I agree that a Hydra or Savage make it very laid-back.

if you have a friend, I recommend using an upgraded Mogul. One person can use the top turret, and the pilot can still use the pea-shooters. I love the Tula best for most co-op aerial missions, but the Mogul’s turret has a superior range of rotation/angles, making it easier to keep shooting at the buzzards if the pilot has to reorient the plane.

I’m still thrilled to do Air Freight in private servers, and hope they get new source missions in a future update.

Speaking of plane missions that slapped me down, though: I underestimated that Bunker Resupply mission in which you hack the cargo plane. It was easy with friends, but I was decimated playing it solo, because I ignored the other enemies. They promptly downed my jet, respawning me miles away on the ground.

Ultimately, I used my beloved Avenger, because it absorbs bullets forever and its canopy is mostly protected. I just rammed the helicopters out of my way to finish the hack.

To be fair the provided aircraft isn't always great, that stunt plane is indeed twitchy and respond a bit too well, the Mallard would be better (this is the one you should use for knife fights in GTA V by the way) , it's agile like a jet and might be slower than the plane given by default, the landing is the only annoying part.

The one with the Hunter will give you a super tough Brickade to steal or destroy, only try brute force with a Savage.

And any time you are tasked to go after a swarm of jets, this won't end well if the one carrying the package pummel into the water, the game won't give you an appropriate vehicle for that.

The Titan escort is so easy that you can probably have a gunner use the Marksman Rifle mkII or 2 with an Annihilator.

That's "knife edge" that just means flying the plane on edge with the wings straight up and down.

Did you buy a nightclub yet? I'm pretty sure we advised you to skip the hangar and buy a nightclub instead. It's *the* easiest money in the game right now.

My favorite for that mission is the Havok. It's a small helicopter so it's easy to fly under bridges down the LS river.

I love the Havok. The CEO version is one of my most-used vehicles in the game; so convenient. The unobstructed first-person view is one of my favorites, as well.

I like doing the Stunt source mission in my Pyro or Molotok. Though I use my Hydra for most long-distance missions,  I have a lot more fun flying full speed between buildings and bridges in a Pyro. The upside-down Los Santos map always makes me feel like I’m playing a Starfox level.

You are overthinking and over complicating it. First thing you should do is slow down and have fun…. If it’s not fun then why play the game?

please listen to what the members here are saying, they know the heist…. It’s not that bad but take your time the first how ever many times.

I usually enter the compound through the drainage tunnel and only take out 4 -5 guards.

It takes a little practice like all games. Watch a couple videos like already recommended.

good luck, it’s hard to type out a perfect description but keep at it

I know the Cayo heist should be easy.  I do exactly as people suggest, but it never works out, something somewhere always goes wrong.  I'll use my silenced pistol to kill the guard at the top of the stairs.  I go past the two in the middle of the courtyard, wait for the guard in the promenade, then wait for the patrolling heavy to walk by.  Go around the corner and shoot at the guard before taking out the camera... but this is usually where it goes wrong, as the game frequent stalls JUST as I shoot, so I miss... or it will inexplicably miss on its own, or the guard will suddenly speed up and slide across the screen.  However, this is only the start.  I finally do take him out, then the camera, then jump onto the bottom promenade.  By this time the heavy has returned, so I have to take him out.  I have the Aggressor set, so I use the machine gun (silenced) to blast him in the head, full auto... which he shrugs off and instantly blows me away... again and again.  SO I try to avoid him, but someone else sees me, somehow.  Usually I have no idea who is seeing me or how, because the map doesn't show any view cones indicating things.  Then, of course, if you're caught once, you might as well give up because you respawn in the middle of the compound already under fire.

I know what I'm supposed to do, the game just won't let me do it.

I did eventually get it to work (and thanks to whoever suggested just swimming away, that worked a treat!), to the tune of 1.3 million.  I'll get better as I do it more often, I have only done it twice now, after all.

Oh, and I have to say I appreciate the mockery.  Low hanging fruit and all that, mocking people in the B&M thread.

Tony, I don't know what happened to your car. Maybe next time you should make the bouncer who allows people wander into secured areas hang up posters around town. I'm sure he'll be a more careful driver than your psychotic business partner who has better things to do.

When taking out the juggernaut, use the shotgun and make sure you have a full clip. 5 shots to the head. Just make sure you do it somewhere where shrapnel won't hit other guards.

I'm having a strange day of GTA.  Decided to do another Perico heist to get the funds for the helicopter.  So, I did the Intel mission, no problem.  Then I did the Kosatka mission... and was instantly killed by every shot the enemies took, often through walls.  5 or 6 deaths on that one... and it was just the beginning.  Every mission was the same thing, every single shot was a oneshot kill, no way to prevent it.  I even got oneshotted when hit in the HAND, firing past a wall... this, from full health and superheavy armour.  I have to think it actually was a headshot, which meant it came through the wall I was behind.   Add to that vehicles spawning 400 miles away when summoned, or not spawning at all (though it engaged the cooldown timer), or NPC vehicles going WAY out of their way to run me over... one even BACKED UP on the highway to hit me after hitting the car I was hiding behind, which then launched me in the air.  By the time I landed and the death animation thing finished, I'd been hit by 5 more cars, it's like they were specifically trying to hit me.

Weird, weird night.
