Well, the posts all exist, it's just all mixed up in the topic. :p Far from the first time this has happened in this section over the years of GTAF, that's for sure, still remember a couple situations before I (or Sikee) was even a mod. Gotta be real careful with what buttons you may accidentally click when it comes to major topics like this, lmao. Doesn't matter anyway, although DLC topic was still smallish, B&M was at almost 800 pages since 2018, which isn't bad at all. So here's a clean slate 4 years later :sadkek:

i'll start off, why not

 

spent hours searching for the metal detector skeleton and i somehow didn't even get a metal detector out of it? idk, i looted the body and looked at the map and wasn't given any other prompts, but i also can't interact with the dig sites at cayo perico

After all these years, it still annoys me that we're locked out of interiors in freemode. 

I was hoping E&E would open them up... "expanding" the playable map... but nope.

Well, tried to resupply my shiny new bunker business.  Mission was to go steal... A TANK!

 

I was a little excited.  Pulled out my fully kitted out Duke o' Death, and drove to the location, where there was a tank, and around 11 billion bad guys.  AND, as if that wasn't enough, endless respawning cops.  So, even after I killed EVERYTHING in sight, by the time I got out of my car, and lazily got on the tank, MORE cops had appeared and I was dead before I could get in.  Adding insult to injury, they impounded the Duke.

 

So, I go grab the tank now that there's no guards, but there's still the endless cops, and they just keep driving at me.  I shoot many of them, but then suddenly the tank EXPLODES!  I had shot a cop car coming up behind me, and the wreck glanced off the back of the tank.  I guess that's the tank's weakness, so mission failed.  Adding FURTHER insult to injury, the jerk on the phone calls to mock the failure.  So, I went to get the Duke from the impound.  Called up a different car, drove to the impound (from Procopio ALL THE WAY to the middle of the city) to find... no Duke.  I look in the Mechanic's list to find it's been DESTROYED.  What. The. HELL?  Adding INJURY to insult to insult to injury.

 

I really think I can't play this game.

 

I play games to relax, to relieve some stress and frustration... not to create MORE frustration and stress.  I don't enjoy games where EVERYTHING you try to do is crushingly difficult.  I don't do raids in other games for the same reason.  I like to play casually, just do some fun stuff and enjoy myself.  This game just isn't any FUN for me... so I'm out.

 

I appreciate the advice of the community, you guys are great.  See you around RDR2.

I love when losers kick me from their final bet if I told them I didn't give a sh*t about the cut and that I eat bullets they'd keep me on board for ever heist they do

Dude, we've been telling you for months to just buy your supplies and skip the missions. How many more times do you have to fail before you believe us?

 

I did, I think 16?, of those missions to unlock all the special MOC missions, and the only way I'll ever do another one again is under heavy duress.

-Makes changes to CPH to encourage playing with others

-Doesn't change the ONE deciding factor solo vs team for nearly every player, number of gold stacks in the compound

 

Seriously, great, you buffed secondaries, thanks, that makes your other nerfs almost irrelevant. But at least show you understand your own game by increasing gold chances (or putting it in the external stores, we wouldn't mind...)

Why does R* limit the Auto Shop/Car Meet back up to just Auto Shop contracts? Wouldn't it make sense to unlock these abilities for free roam as a reward for completing all Tuner Contracts once? A mobile mechanic that can fix and restock any vehicle by driving/landing in the circle or us actually getting some backup in the form of a driver that fights enemies pursuing you.

I'm sorry to hear about the frustrating failures, but I love how you write them up here! Such great details. It's probably rude to say, but your misfortunes always make me laugh.

 

The tank mission was the last resupply that I did back in the day. I think there's a Cargobob near the tank that you're supposed to use to fly it away. But with all the cops shooting at you and the heavy tank is difficult for the 'Bob to pick up, makes the mission hard. It definitely feels like the tank explodes way sooner than it should. After that I never did another resupply and only bought supplies. Buying supplies is way more economical because you can do other things that are easier and more profitable than the steal mission.

 

To make this a B&M, It sucks that the stealing supplies content isn't worth doing.

I always forget about this game mechanic. You can only have one personal vehicle on the map at a time. The impounded car is on the map. If you call a new personal vehicle the game will destroy the impounded car. You need to steal a car or use something like a CEO vehicle to travel to the impound lot to get your car back. Personally, I'm lazy and call the Assistant and pay the $5000 for her to get my car out of impound. It's also delivered near you if you do this.

This upsets me so much. Also, while doing the Auto Shop contracts only the leader can call the contacts and who can be called is locked to their LSCM rep level. Most people don't know or have forgotten that these abilities exist. It would be great for them to call the decoy if there is a member who can't seem to ditch the cops, but they never do.

 

I've actually started using the contacts more in the missions. The road block makes the Superdollar fairly simple for stopping the MOC because you can do a ton of damage with the RPG and 200 minigun shots. Speaking of, why don't grenades explode when you throw them at the MOC??? The shotgun loadout really is the worst loadout. At least the pipe bombs explode on the MOC.

 

I hope they make an Imani tech tuner some day...

Bro, I've done the tank mission at least a dozen times (I was just starting to play the game, was poor as eff and... was actually enjoying those missions). I've lost perhaps two tanks and bot times was because I was shooting police cars way closer to me (aka having fun). I can understand his frustrations if he plays like... 30 minutes a day and can't get a handle of the game's mechanics after so long, but it's still like, a month, two months that he's playing?

A hacker just joined my friends only session, killed me, then i activated passive mode and he made my game crash, yaaaaaaaaaay gotta love this game. :sadkek:

 

Name of the guy was Ebicdan he had a RSG logo as crew tag.

 

Now i just gonna join a friends only session and activate IP filter f*ck this guy.

The resupply with the tank ? If you managed to lose the tank that's probably because you received too many explosions from police vehicles.

 

The tank is very bullet resistant, surely you can get away with it by not blowing up the police who wouldn't do much with bullets anyway.

I don't think it's rude at all, I do write them with some entertainment value in mind.

 

I saw the helicopters, but I didn't figure I'd have time to get away... and I was pretty excited to get to drive the tank!  The tank didn't survive even one collision, and the police car that hit it had already blown up, it was the wreckage that hit the tank.

 

The destruction of the Duke wasn't a big deal, it's a free car I could just get another... though I had kitted it out with better armour, suspension, etc.  It actually cost me less getting it back from the insurance.

 

Anyway, I appreciate all the commentary and support.

I'm done racing on the island now and joined a new session. There was a white parachute icon on the map. (In the area of Fleeca bank from the first heist.) Unfortunately, I couldn't get there fast and when I arrived at the place, the icon had already gone out and I did not find anything interesting there.

But events with Junk skydiving seem to be unavailable yet? Or already yes?

Infinite loading screens while entering a garage? Are we living in 2013?

Man I cant wait till this game is finally thrown in a corner left to die, and we can just simply play GTA6 with (hopefully, fingers crossed) less issues.

 

Unfortunately people are still buying GTA- and Sharkcards, so I guess patience is the key.

 

Edit: Second time in 20 minutes Im having this issue. Im having the feeling R* fixes 1 thing and creates 3 more problems.

 

Edit again: It only took 20 minutes for a 3rd time, its a miracle - Rockstar really knows how to bring quality to their #1 income game.
