Have 6 reference the past games if you really want but not the other way around, it would feel forced.

There's probably going to be an item we unlock in GTAO at some point that will carry to the next game, but it's not happening in the next update, it's too early for that.

Oh this is fine they did it for RDR2 as well.
I specifically meant alluding randomly to 6 in dialogues or cutscenes. It would be talking about it for the sake of it instead of what you said making a "promotional" event (which in that case would make sense as it is the sole focus).

Oh yeah, I think it's actually GTAVI that will make some very slight mentions to V's story mode (not online), something along the lines of what they had done to Niko in Michael's dialogue with Lester before the heist.

The first part of Drug Wars wasn't much bigger, 6 contact missions, various supply/disruption and sell missions and that was it.

this is what happens when you have stories that take place on the same timeline. Even if the next update has a million references to GTA 6, we wouldn’t know it because we would only find out retroactively. I don’t necessarily think it’s forced if it only makes references to think we don’t actually know about yet

Now I'm really curious if they add a GTA6 tee or some other piece of clothing in the dripfeed to be unlocked when the GTA6 trailer drops in December. (If the trailer comes after December 12th)

Speaking of missions, imagine GTA Online having a powerful editor similar to world editor from warcraft 3, what kind of missions or heists some players could come up with (not just adversaries or racing).

We know Rockstar like to have fun with wording but i think GTA6 trailer will come up in next 7 days.
Im sure 100% we will get some tees, maybe unique livery for car to "celebrate" 🥳 new GTA and there's chance for hunt/treasure of some weapon in upcoming GTAO DLC 👽

I feel like people forget how much of a slap in the face drug wars was, locking 60% pf the dlc behind dripfeed and mind you it was already a medium/less than big update.

Some people created whole campaigns (not just custom maps) with either an alternate timeline (or was shown in single player what was added in the Wow part after W3) or going into some character/nation story. This game could have the potential, imagine custom prison breaks or even new custom heists which players could do, sadly some of these are limited to money/RP farming or even KD farming, because of the whole grind idea. I mean, we also replayed a lot of bonus missions and heists for the money, don't we. Those custom W3 campaigns were created by fans for fans.

We both think alike. When it comes to the missions in a DLC i usually play them once or twice with friends. As a freemode player i benefit from QoL's, weapons and vehicles. I'm not doing the missions for money either.

In retrospective it feels not that bad (especially after Mercenaries) and it had a few missions I liked plus some decent cars but I was quite disapointed at the day of release.

 

I wouldn't be surprised if this would be a two parts DLC as well and possibly the last, if dripfeed extends into spring.

i hop to GTAO for some minutes and was manage to get diamonds before whole new event reset, i will eventually do heist with it. Any of you do similar thing? You know you wont do heist but still save that diamond as target for future to play with friends?

Drug wars dlc was way bigger content wise than Mercenaries, yes we had a Lot of dripfeed wich i dont like much but we got a variety array of content, a solid medium update: 

 

First and last dose missions (11 in total)

New business Acid Lab

Street Dealers 

Taxi work 

Dax missions 

Stash houses 

G's caches 

Random event shop Robbery

Random event Weazel Plaza shootout with a gun unlock

Random event: Gooch

New hotring races

Gun van 

Snowmen collectibles

We got more vehicles (16) 

50 car garage 

And a Lot of QOL changes.

Would it beat the Diamond Casino arc, though? I eman ,in the summer we got the Diamond Casino, probably a lot of us got ripped off by "rigged" rng and we were all very sad of Vincent's departure and frustrated with Bad Beat, but then we got our retribution with the Diamond Casiino Heist whihc had a lot of ups.... and maybe a few downs.

One of the reasons why the casino updates were my favorites, nothing can beat GTAO 2019

San Andreas Mercenaries: (PS5) 5.5 GB
Los Santos Drugwars: (PS5) 5.3GB

 

If it's a 2 part DLC then i guess: 5.2GB

That's basically what I did with possibly the last hundred of heists I set up, it's there for a random or a contact.

 

A pity I can't play right now because I believe I could setup the Diamond Casino heist for an aggressive approach, I'm always eager to tackle the guards.
