I assume that if this is unintentional rockstar will fix it sometime tonight so they have something to show for themselves come the newswire, otherwise they'll just pretend like nobody knows about all the dripfeed cars and ignore the situation completely.

So the vehicle that was cut from the update, could it have possibly been the Benny's Surfer van? Seems like would've been in this batch as it included a few Benny's upgrades. Maybe they decided to hold off on it as it didn't fit the theme.

 

That's the only vehicle I know they worked on but haven't released yet.

Event weeks are planned two weeks in advance. I doubt that this is a typo from their side, but was more done intentionally.

Previously R* added Turismo R to Luxury Auto and then replaced it because CESP guys could sell it for a profit,now they added some cut car and have to update tunables again.I hope they added some nice bonuses for compensation.

I still think they might have just skipped the week tho, personally.

 

Also, now that the Tunables API twitter is more widespread here, the tunables always update again around 1 PM BST changing the top "bonus" array. It's nothing related to this morning potential "mistake". It always updates twice a day, at least it has recently.

The bonus array is part of the anti-cheat system. Signature scanning. I wouldn't normally say this, but there's already a tool for the cheaters to disable the signature scans.

If skipping a week was intentional, I'm surprised they didn't do that for the week where we got the M16, plus the other Freemode activities (LD' collectibles etc). They did mention it was coming during the previous week's newswire. Maybe they mention something about next week or the newswire could be uploaded later than usual?

 

Perhaps today's newswire will focus on the end of the Sprunk vs Ecola event? with the main Twitter pic related to this.

 

Edit: I would expect the two new tuners to be available for test drive the week before official release, like last summer.
