And I don't think this will be to fix all of the memory issues because the problem is affecting all platforms to varying degrees, not just the PS4

The download stopped dead on its tracks, my ps4 turned off out of nowhere and now the database is corrupted...Yay.

 

Until I get this sh*t fixed, has anyone managed to download the update yet?

Side note, holy f*cking sh*t it takes AGES to reinstall the database...I'm almost saying "f*ck it" and putting my old HDD back on again.

on PS4, there's an update file just called Version 1.44.  Looks like a whole re-install thing

Indeed, overwriting takes ages here (I was playing on PS4 before).

One console is starting GTA 1.44 update version. The other one still copying update file 95%

Just hope it fixes matchmaking/auto invite

Mine stopped copying at about 56% before the console switched off, when I turned it back on the database was corrupted and it got into that annoying loop that a database rebuild doesn't fix, so I'm reinstalling the whole thing again now.

 

Let's see if your installation goes without a hitch because I'm suspecting it's the SSD i installed yesterday.

 

Most annoying part here is that the game was working great yesterday after I had installed it, and now I have to download all updates again for f*cks sake..

but it requires some tricks and you have to be on PC.

from the recording overlay it looks like you are playing on PC.
so if you tell me your social club, i could check for you how many you already completed

My old PS4 updated to 1.44 in less than an hour, but sadly I saw no improvements to resolve the graphic errors.

As I played to get daily objectives, I still experienced swathes of buildings pop in and out, streets vanish at random, stuttering, etc.

We got the Uranus from SA, it’s the Penumbra FF. The Uranus we need still is the Foxbody from IV, and maybe one based on the Escort RS.

I really wonder what happened here because not everyone(?) reported the patch but quite a few did. I wonder if it was something on Sony's side, or if R* actually pushed something accidentally, then retracted it (perhaps meant for next week?), causing issues with downloads like a few had.

"Interfering" and "working as intended" are the same thing. The first four gun lockers (Office, Clubhouse, Bunker, MOC) don't hide weapons in missions. It wasn't until seven updates later when the Avenger was released was there a gun locker that does hide weapons in missions (if you don't own any of the other gun lockers). Seven of the eleven gun lockers in the game don't hide weapons in missions.

 

R* wants you to have access to all of your weapons in missions. If they didn't want this, then why did they wait seven updates to stealthily add a gun locker that does work in missions without changing any of the previous ones? Why do the majority of gun lockers not work in missions? In R*'s opinion, the lockers that work in missions are broken. It's a stupid design, but it's what R* wants.

I just updated my GTA V on the PS4 version and the game is still the same or even worse, the game rendering is horrible since the last DLC, and today's update didn't make any apparent correction, unfortunately the problem persists.

My PS4 patch downloaded and took forever to install. Playing on PS5, there wasn't a patch for the PS5 version.

If you're already in GTA Online, the game doesn't force you to install the update. You need to exit the game to be told there's an update. That's maybe why?

Also is the speed glitch with the SSASSS and AH cars still working?

More on topic. Update seems to have fixed graphic pop in/memory issues.  I've been online for 2 hours and just drove from south shambles to maze Bank west at top speed with not so much as a single stutter let alone entire buildings vanishing like I saw yesterday.
